Molly's Blog

Two very important visitors to MollyDogs this weekend, these cute little boys were here with Mom and Grandma to pick their puppy, Ruffy, one of Riley's puppies. What  a lucky little puppy!

Puppy Pie

Take one MollyDogs puppy, roll and play until lightly pampered,

then add the following ingredients:

1 cup patience . . . .

1 cup understanding . . . .

1 pinch correction . . . .

1 cup hard work . . . .

2 cups praise and 1 1/2 cups fun . . . . blend well.

Heat with warmth of your heart until raised or until puppy has doubled in size.

Mix with owner until consistency is such that owner and puppy are one!

Our recipe for a great and happy long life with your MollyDogs puppy! :)

Jan 26/10

Pictured above is our Riley, she is one of my best friends, she is so playful. She loves to toss toys up in the air and chase after them. She also loves to roll around in the snow, as you can see. Her and my other friend Hanna do that a lot, they like to run with their face right down in the snow like little snow ploughs. Not me, I get too cold, I'm usually dancing at the door holding one paw up after another waiting to get back in the house. ANYWAYS, Riley is about to have her puppies any day now, they should be just beautiful little ones. We are very excited to see them.

On Friday Willow's puppies will be going to Dr. Tanya's for their very first Vet visit, shot and checkup. That will be a big day for them. The girls at the vet office always make such a fuss over our puppies ~ of course because they are such good little puppies! ;) Starting on Saturday Willow's puppies will begin going to their new homes and then on Monday it will be Pepsi's puppies turn to go to the vet and then they will begin going to their new homes as well. Boy, the time really went by fast!

We had a big two day blizzard here on the weekend, now the snow is piled so high, we are all having fun running up and down the big snow banks and jumping in all the fresh snow. Although it does make for some very wet dogs once inside! Oh well, it was lots of fun.

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Meet JORDYN

Jordyn is the newest member of the MollyDog family!! :)

Jan 12/10

Please welcome Jordyn to our family. Dianne and Kevin's little granddaughter arrived as a very special little package on Christmas morning! What a perfect blessing on Christmas morning. We think she is beautiful and love her to pieces already. Although the other dogs and I do agree she could have a little more hair! She's very "pink", lol. A BIG congratulations to Jordyn's Mommy and Daddy, Megan and Danny.

Check out Willow's and Pepsi's puppies, aren't they gorgeous, they are almost ready to leave us for their new homes. We have also found homes for some of our adult dogs, wonderful homes and we are so happy for them and so grateful for the families out there that are willing to consider adult dogs when looking for their next family member. We will have Somarra that will be retiring in late summer early fall so will be looking for a home for her as well then.

Up and coming moms at MollyDogs will be Riley, Bridgit and Somarra, they are all due to have puppies by the end of this month and in early February. Then our Zoey will be having her very first batch of puppies due right at Valentine's Day, how special. Please contact us if you are interested in a spring puppy. Remember, spring puppies are great because they are all done their shots by the time the kids are done school and will then be free to go anywhere your family wants to go, ball games, soccer games, parks, cottage, beach, all of those places are off limits until a puppy is finished their shots so getting one a little earlier than summer can be the best plan. Something to consider.

Thanks for stopping by, we wish you all the best in the New Year! It's sure off to a great start!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Danny and Josie getting ready for baby!

Dec 12/09

Wow, "Baby it's cold outside!!!" one of our favourite songs around here these days! It's only -45 degrees Celcius today!  Anyways, the picture on our blog is eldest son Danny whose new baby is expected very soon (Dec 22), we are so excited. he was practising using his snugli for the baby with his dog Josie, she loves it and snuggles right in. I wonder how she will feel about sharing it with Danny and Megan's baby. lol.

Our last puppies for the year 2009 are here. Willow and Pepsi's new babies have all arrived and everyone is doing well. Pictures posted on their puppy pages. Our next puppies won't be arriving until end of January or early February. Which is great as Dianne expects to be very busy with the new little human baby, lots of baby preparations going on and lots of excitement. Watch here for the big news and of course on the MollyDogs facebook group. All the latest is always posted there as well.

Well I sure hope it's warmer where you live, it's hard for a dog to keep their little paws warm when you have to go outside to, well, you know. But the sun is shining and the sky is blue, it's just that I keep getting little icicles on my whiskers!!

Check back soon for the latest updates and watch Willow and Pepsi's puppies grow on their pages!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Nov 23/09

Pictured above is our Willow, she is about to have her puppies within the next week or so. We are anxiously waiting to meet them. Her last puppies, Vincent, Penny, Cleo, etc were absolutely gorgeous, beautiful colours and coats. Willow has the nicest temperament and daddy, Chip, is a little doll as well. This may be Chip's last batch of mini's as we will be retiring Chip.

We will have some adults available if you know anyone interested in giving a great home to some of my pals just let us know. Me and the other dogs have sure been enjoying the nice warm weather, not to mention all the exciting football games going on, our Saskatchewan Roughriders are going to win the Grey Cup next weekend so we are all very excited to watch that happen. Poor Kevin has been losing his voice the last couple of games with all the cheering.

Hanna's puppies are growing and getting ready to leave for their new homes soon. We have new videos of them posted on the MollyDogs youtube channel if you'd like to see them in action. There's a link to it on the puppy page.

Well not much left to say except "GO RIDERS!!"  :)

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Buddy The Skeleton and Timber The Pirate!

What great costumes!

Oct 29/09

Well as you can see Halloween is upon us and we've been getting all kinds of great pictures of our dogs in the cutest costumes ~ what a riot! We love getting the photos. Check out the Happy Tails page as well, we will be adding more there. Thanks to our great MollyDog Families for sending the pictures our way.

Hanna's puppies have grown so much, at two weeks of age their little eyes have opened, the Bio Sensor work is completed and they are cute as a button. We will be updating their pictures over the next day or so. We will also be saying goodbye to Abbi's and Kristi's puppies within the next week, wow, where did the time go?

We also said goodbye to our beautiful Faith and Sophie this past month as it was their turn to "retire", Faith has gone to a wonderful home with Maureen and we hear she will be spending the winter in a nice warm south climate, lucky girl. Sophie has gone to live with Dianne's sister and brother in law in Ontario where she is getting awfully spoiled, she also sees my sister Daisy on a regular basis, they get along great. We will miss both girls and know they will really enjoy their time with their new families. Luckily, we will get to see Sophie as she will be staying in the family. Thanks girls for the beautiful puppies, the joy you passed on to their families and for the love you shared with us. :)

Rocky

Phoebe

October 15/09

Pictured above are two of our beautiful little MollyDogs that recently joined their new families. Rocky is one of our shihtzu puppies and Phoebe is one of our little Shichon puppies. Both are simply gorgeous. Don't you just love Phoebe's little sweater. Dianne received the nicest emails from their families so we thought we would share some of their comments with you, just so you could hear how great MollyDog puppies really are! ;)

Rocky's family said this

"He is such a wonderful addition to our family – we all love him very much.  He has such a cute little personality – loves to play, can be a little mischievous, yet absolutely loves to cuddle.  He sleeps in a crate at night in our 12 yr old sons’ room.  He sleeps all through the night then gets up at around 7:30 am and goes to his litter box outside on our deck.  The last 2-3 weeks he stands at our back garden doors when he has to go potty (most of the time!) We let him out to do his business and he comes back in and gets a treat.  He loves to be brushed, not wild about his baths or getting his hair or nails clipped, but he tolerates it!  He now goes up and down stairs, is very proud of himself and is sure that our household revolves around him!  But he is such a good natured puppy and loves everyone who visits us!  We can hardly wait to take him outside for walks which will happen in about 1 ½ weeks as he got his last set of immunizations 1 ½ weeks ago.  At that appointment he was 6.1lbs.

He is my little buddy throughout the day, as I am often home during the day.  When I work in my home office he is usually with me – he’s my shadow when I walk through the house.  We all thoroughly enjoy him,

I just wanted to thank you for letting us adopt Rocky.  Our lives will never be the same (in a good way!)."

Phoebe's family said this about Phoebe's first night home:

"We picked up little Phoebe from the Toronto airport at 4pm last evening. She had flown with her brother J.P. so it was so nice to meet him and his new family. Phoebe sat so quietly with me on the drive home and even slept for most of it. When we got home we put her in the litter box and she went potty!!! Then she ate a little, played lots with the kids and finally at 11 pm she went to sleep for the night. Phoebe woke up just twice, went potty and then went right back in her crate and went back to sleep until 8am!!!"
We have had no accidents and she goes right over to the litter box when she needs to use it.
Thank you Dianne for all that you do to make getting a new puppy a wonderful experience!!!!

This just in! Update from Phoeble's new "Mom" - Christine reports that Phoebe has not had one accident - wow! That is fabulous, Christine! An attentive family also helps you must be doing a great job with Phoebe!  :)

It is so nice to get such happy reports back from our families and we are thrilled that our puppies continue to find wonderful homes such as these. Thanks to all of our MollyDog families for that!

Our latest additions, Hanna's puppies were born on Thanksgiving Day, how appropriate. We are so proud of them, they are beautiful little puppies, check our Hanna's page and see for yourself, we're sure you'll agree. We do have some availability within Hanna's puppies so if you are interested email us and let us know. They won't be ready for new homes until early to mid December. We also have a really cute little guy available from Kristi as well. Check out her page.

Dianne and Kevin are headed to Ontario for a quick visit with Dianne's family. Thanks to Patrick, Danny and Megan for holding down the fort for us and taking of the four legged family members. They wouldn't be able to go without their help! But can you believe they aren't taking me with them this time! What is up with that? Oh well, I guess they will get a good rest.

Take care, check back soon to see the new pictures of Hanna's babies!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Pebbles and Patrick

Oct 2/09

So pictured above is our pal Pebbles and her buddy Patrick. Pebbles is going to join her new family today so we had to get a few pictures of her and Patrick together before she leaves. It is always very difficult to see one of our friends leave but Pebbles has had beautiful puppies for us and it would be so selfish of us to keep her here with us, as much as we want to, we know it's better for her to go and have her very own family and nice home, be able to go out and about for walks, rides in the car, go to the park, all the fun things that a dog should have and enjoy in their life. Pebbles will always have a special place in our hearts and we know that her puppies have brought to much joy to many of our MollyDog families. We are grateful to her for that. We will miss her big beautiful eyes and her always happy demeanor.

Things are slowing down a little for us here now, Faith's puppies are on their way to their new homes and soon Buffy's will be leaving as well.  We have Hanna due to have her puppies in a couple of weeks, right on the Thanksgiving weekend, then we won't have any new puppies for a while after that, maybe early December for newborns. We will enjoy some down time and hope to hear from all of our new puppy families with updates and pictures about their little MollyDog and how they are doing.

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Mew

Sept 16/09

This is our cat Mew, she LIVES to torment me, Gabby and all the other dogs, especially the puppies. As you can see in this picture she sits and lets her tail dangle just enough into the puppies play pen to drive them crazy. Gabby and I will bark at her and try to get her to run then we have a great time chasing her, but sometimes, like in this picture she just won't budge and then the puppies are jumping and trying to grab her tail. It does wear the puppies out and then they sleep for a long time but they would sure love to get their little paws on her!

We have some puppies and adults that are available. If you go to the MollyDogs Puppies page you will see a new section there simple called Available Puppies ~ we will also put information there about available adults as well. Some of the adults will be ready soon and others will be next spring. These dogs make wonderful companions! We will also post information about them on our facebook group MollyDogs Are The Best!  :)

Looks like we are getting our summer late here, it has been very warm although our days are getting much shorter, don't like that part. Time to start getting coats taken down a bit so they have time to grow over the winter and keep us nice and warm. Our reno's on our kennel building are looking really good and we will be posting pictures of them soon ~ really nice new digs for my pals!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Gabby

August 24/09

Gabby is one of our retired Moms that has stayed on with us, we couldn't part with her, she is aptly named "Gabby" as she follows us around talking to us. She is quite the little character, in the picture she is wearing her little hooded sweatshirt as she had just been groomed and we had a couple of cool days here. We love Gabby to pieces and she has been great company for me, we gang up on the cat and have great fun chasing each other through the house, up and down on the couch or the next minute we are curled up together for a snooze. We thought you might like to meet her. I love having Gabby to live with!

Speaking of cool weather, we actually had a few days of rain and as you can see it was not only raining cats and dogs here it poured puppies!  We have quite a few adorable babies right now, it keeps us on our toes. Bridgit's puppies went home to their new families this weekend, they were so excited and happy to get their puppies, we love that part! Of course I had to play with Bridgit's puppies, it's been a long time since I had any of my own to play with. I love puppies!

Faith has found a wonderful home to retire to when her puppies leave in early October, we are so happy for her and for them. We know they will just love her, she is a beautiful dog. We will have some of our boys to retire, contact Dianne if you are interested.

Check back to watch our little puppies grow. We won't be having anymore until Hanna has hers in October!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Meet Zoe

August 11/09

Meet Zoe, this is one of our little mini's. Zoe is one year old and weighs 3.5 lbs. She was just here for a "staycation" while her family was on vacation. We were so happy to see her and have her stay with us for a while. She is just a little doll but rips around with the rest of us dogs like she's a big girl! Her mom Josie is a good friend of mine, Josie has retired as well, she lives with Dianne's son and daughter in law. Josie got to visit with Zoe as well while she was here. It's actually been a fun summer as lots of the puppies have come back to stay with us while their families were away, Diesel's been here, TimBit, Max, we always have fun with them when they're here.

As you can see on the puppy pages we've been very busy with all our new little ones and Buffy is about to have hers as well. Then we won't have any for quite a while, around October sometime. The puppy pictures have all been updated and we have added two videos of Bridgit's puppies playing to our "MollyWood" youtube channel, check them out, they are always fun to watch!

Big family news here for us as well, Dianne's son Danny and daughter in law, Megan are about to have their very first baby, Dianne's very first grandbaby, well, you can imagine, it's pretty exciting news. We hope to find out this week if it's a pink one or a blue one, we are happy either way, around here we just love babies of all kinds! ;)

That's it for this update, stay tuned for all the exciting news and updates here at MollyDogs!

Pawsitively yours, Molly

July 31/09

Okay, so where has the summer gone?? I can't believe it's already going to be August! Our weather here has cooled down especially compared to our friends further west, wow, is it hot there! Way too hot for this dog! I have to say I'm enjoying the a/c. We (meaning Dianne, Patrick, etc) have been picking berries for pies, weeding and tending to our garden. It is very rewarding to see all the peas, beans, and other vegetables growing, I heard Dianne say it's so nice to get everything for the salad from our own garden. My job is to patrol and keep little four legged varmints out of there!

Puppies, Puppies, Puppies, Riley's puppies are going home this weekend, Bridgit's puppies are already 5 weeks old and Somarra's puppies are just about ready to open their little eyes, so cute. Then we have Pebbles who is about to have her babies any day and then Faith, this will be the last puppies for Pebbles and Faith as they will be retiring and going to live with new families, a happy day for them, a very sad one for us! Finally, Buffy will be having her puppies in another week or so, it will be a busy couple of weeks around here but it's always fun seeing the new babies come along.

We hope you are enjoying your summer and spending time with family and friends.

Pawsitively yours, Molly

July 15/09

Isn't Seattle beautiful? Dianne just returned from a whirlwind trip there and found it to be one of the most beautiful cities ever! So pretty, so clean, lots of trees and green space. Loved all the rooftop gardens downtown it really added some colour and beauty to the city. Quite a difference from life here on the prairies but each place has its own beauty and appeal. We really missed her and gave her a huge welcome last night! We think she was happy to see us too.

The puppies really grew in that week! Bridgits puppies are so adorable as are Riley's. The next few days will be spent giving puppies baths and taking new updated pictures so be sure to watch for the new glamour shots as the "paw"parazzi strike again!

We sure hope you are having a wonderful summer and spending time with family and friends. We have received a few new summer shots of MollyDogs out boating and just generally enjoying summer that we will be updating the Happy Tails page with as well.

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Our friend Hannah here for a visit

July 6/09

Lots of action here at MollyDogs this past week ~ we have had our two friends Hannah and Heather come and visit us from Washington, Dianne will be making the trip back with them and will visit with them for a few days before coming back. It has been a fun visit as Heather also brought us a new friend, his name is Jackson and he is a gorgeous little (7 lbs) man. Hannah has been lots of fun to have around and runs all over the yard with us, even with our big lab Moses!

Our Bridgit's puppy pictures have all been updated and we are really happy with a new page added in the Photo Album section, it is simply called "MollyDogs" and it is a variety of shots of the gang out playing in the yard and just generally hanging out. Check out the new page, there are some great pictures on there, one or two of yours truly that are fabulous, of course! :)

"Pawsitively" yours, Molly

June 30/09

Happy Canada Day everyone! Hope you are getting together with friends and family. I'm sure there are lots of Barbeques going on and fireworks happening, they are usually quite beautiful. Please remember that a lot of dogs are absolutely terrified of fireworks and large crowds can also bother them so maybe leave your dog at home where they will be safe and sound and can curl up in their bed. We often hear of dogs that get spooked by fireworks and bolt from their families and get lost. How sad. Better to be safe than sorry is our motto.

Bridgit's puppies are doing well and growing so fast. We love their little polka dots, they are so cute. Riley's puppies are really getting mobile now and have started on some softened puppy food, it's quite the mess!

Have a great holiday and roast a marshmallow for me! :)

Pawsitively yours, Molly

Pablo

(Pablo has a LillyBits Mom and a MollyDogs Dad, a great combination!)

June 12/09

My Goodness, it's June already!! We have had a busy month here at MollyDogs so Dianne has gotten behind with updating the site for me ~ hard to get good human help, isn't it?? lol.

Check out the picture of little Pablo above, Pablo lives in the states and his family posted a couple of pictures of him on a cute website and he won cutest puppy on the internet that day!! Of course, he did! We are very proud of Pablo and all of our gorgeous MollyDog puppies.

Cookie's puppies are leaving us this weekend to go home to their new families, we wish them all the best and will be around to offer any puppy support they need. What a happy day for the puppies!

Riley's new babies are growing so fast, we hope to get their new pictures up in the next day or so, most of her puppies are that same beautiful brindle that she is and appear to have that cute ShihTzu baby doll face! We are excited to watch them grow.

The weather here has turned beautiful and we hope to enjoy a gorgeous weekend. We would like to pay tribute to Dianne's mother in law, Vi, who passed away last week. Vi loved the dogs and puppies, Keira was one of her favourites and Keira always knew when Grandma was here and she would just run to Vi and spend her day with her. One of the last times we visited with Vi our little Gabby spent the afternoon with her head on Vi's lap, just laying there with Vi stroking her. It is a special memory for us and we will treasure it in our hearts knowing how much she loved the gang here at MollyDogs. We will miss her . . .

"Pawsitively" yours, Molly

May 15/09

Isn't Pyper cute in her beautiful little TShirt?? We think so!  Dianne has been busy this week working on the site, check out the new pictures on the Then and Now page, there are some new ones also on the Past Puppy page and the Happy Tails page has been updated as well. Lots of work but we like to showcase our puppies with the great photos that their families send us as well as put pictures on the site of the adults showing how much they change from the little 8 week old puppy that leaves us. We are looking for any new pictures of our dogs as adults so if you have some please send them to us so we can update the Then and Now page even more. Thanks so much.

We have been very fortunate here at MollyDogs in that our puppies are always spoken for before they are even born, normally we have a waiting list for our puppies! Thanks to all of you that refer new families to us. It means a lot that you love your dog so much and also your faith in us.

Upcoming Puppies: we have our very first batch of purebred non-registered (not a big believer in the whole "registered" thing, but that's a story for another day!) ShihTzu's by our Riley and Twister coming up ~ they will be gorgeous, as well as our Bridgit will be having her first batch of puppies around the third week in June ~ we are excited to see her first puppies, Dad is Bosco. Somarra's beautiful mini's will follow after that in early July.

Hope you have a great long weekend and enjoy hopefully some great weather!

"Pawsitively" yours, Molly

   Annabelle Needs A Home

May 4/09

This week we say goodbye to our Annabelle. Annabelle is retiring and we are on the search for the absolute perfect home for her. Annabelle is a very sweet dog and her new family will be lucky to have her. She has given us beautiful puppies with wonderful loving temperaments, ask anyone who has one. She is always happy to see you and her tail wags while she prances around to greet anyone who comes by. Annabelle is just four years old which is a really nice age for her to "retire" at, we like to retire our girls early so they can have a nice long life with their new family. They deserve it! We will really miss Annabelle, it just won't be the same without her! :(  THANK YOU ANNABELLE FOR EVERYTHING!

We also have puppies that have been leaving us to go and join their new families, what an exciting time for them! We love to see the puppies head off to start their new life, playing, chasing, eating, chewing and cuddling with their new pack! We will miss their little puppy kisses, their puppy breath, and their little wagging tails.

All of us dogs have been outside enjoying the much nicer weather, plus the bonus is it's staying lighter out much longer so that gives us even more time to play and chases Moses, the black lab! Hopefully there is nicer weather where you live to and you are out making the most of it.

Thanks for checking in, have a pawsitively great day, until next time . . .

Molly

Apr 20/09

During the MollyDog photo shoot this week for our new pictures Dianne happened to snap this picture of little Cleo, well, how can you not feature a cute little face like this Cleo is quite the little character and her new family and big brother Ben are going to have lots of fun with her!

All the puppy pages have now been updated, check them out and see how much the puppies have grown, wow, it's amazing how much they change and so quickly. Some of them, namely Josie's and Willow's will be leaving us very soon now, the time has really gone by fast.

Dianne has kept Kevin very busy lately in the kennel building doing some reno work, the changes to the building are very nice and the dogs are really enjoying it. Dianne purchased little cots for them and they love them. They chase each other up and down on them, some even try to go under them, they are a big hit. All our snow is finally gone and we are all enjoying more time outside, hard to believe it will soon be time to check into the annual tick/heartworm medications for your dogs. On the positive side if we have to worry about ticks and mosquitoes then that means that it's getting close to summer! We deserve it after the winter we had here! It was very hard to keep the paws and nose warm when I went outside!

Well, have a pawsitively great day and thanks for checking in, enjoy the new puppy pictures!

Molly

March 31/09

People often ask Dianne what is the difference in size between a "mini" MollyDog and a "regular"sized MollyDog, well, we finally remembered to get pictures of two of the puppies side by side. As you can there is quite a size difference, even if you just compare the head size of each puppy, the difference is very apparent. Now not all of our mini's are as small as little Mika here, they range from 3 - 8 lbs, but this is a good representation of the difference between the two. Mika is not even as tall as a pop can! When puppies are as small as Mika they will be here longer than the normal 8 - 9 week period.

So it has been a busy week here, our families are in the happy puppy selection phase, it's always exciting to see a family decide on their puppy and give him or her a name. Now they will get to watch their puppy grow on our site as well we send them out updated photos and links to our videos that we put on youtube especially for our families that live further away.

All the adult dogs are getting the spa treatment this week, time to get those heavy winter coats off and enjoy the sunshine we are finally getting. It's amazing how much hair can come off of a ten pound dog! We hope you are enjoying nice spring weather where you live, please check back often, we try to update as regularly as possible and will be trying in the next few months to introduce more of our adults to you.

As always, have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

Meet "Lola"

March 24/09

Isn't Lola cute? She is a new addition to the MollyDogs team, she is a gorgeous black with silver markings, she has the silkiest coat and most calm, loving temperament ever. We are just in love with her! Notice from the pictures the warm welcome Gabby and I gave her when she came home, we had lots of fun with her. Lola is 14 weeks old and is a Shichon, ShihTzu/Bichon cross and we are thrilled to have her.

Josie's puppies have all been selected by their families now, wow, those are some happy people! And why not? The puppies are gorgeous. Pretty soon we will begin puppy selection on Willow's puppies, we like to wait though until their little tails are wagging and they have a story to tell us about themselves so we can help their families make exactly the right choice!

Here are some comments from some of our families that have recently taken their MollyDog puppy home:

Louise " I just thought I'd say hi and tell you how Mika is doing. She is already just over 2 lbs. and outgrowing some of her clothes already. We are having a wonderful time with her. Jeff and I love her so much, she gives us so much happiness and laughter everyday. I never knew how such a little puppy could be a huge part of our lives. Everyone just thinks she is the cutest little puppy that they have ever seen. Just wanted to say thank you for all that you do, and thank you for bringing us Mika, she is adorable."

Dale and Angie " Zeke is doing great and so are we!  He travelled incredibly well and has handled all the change like a pro!  He woke us up a couple of times on night #1, but after a "potty try" he settled back into his kennel pretty quickly.  For the past two nights, he's slept right through.....and I think so have we!   Zeke really enjoys playing with the kids and has taken a favorite liking to a set of baby teething keys and seems to already know what they are when we say "Get your keys".  (Maybe it's coincidence, but he really gets them!)    He's been using his litterbox faithfully and receiving lots of praise for it!    Thanks again for everything......Zeke has been worth waiting for!!  I guess you could say that we are enjoying him very much!  :) "

MollyDogs are the Best! Thanks for checking, we hope you have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

Isn't our Bridgit gorgeous? Bridgit is one of our upcoming Moms here at MollyDogs, we will occasionally feature one of our dogs here to give you a chance to get to know everyone.

Bridgit is a beautiful silver and white parti with a wavy, thick, gorgeous coat.

She has the most beautiful eyes and loving temperament, she is a happy little dog who loves being with you. Currently Bridgit is only a year old so she won't be a mom for quite a while but we are excited to see her puppies when she has them ~ could they be any more beautiful? MollyDogs are the best! :)

We are happy to announce that Annabelle had her puppies last night, March 14, she had two girls and one boy. We have reserved a pick of the females as this will be Annabelle's last batch of babies as she is retiring; we will miss her dearly she is a sweet dog whose is a lot of fun to have around.

In other puppy news Josie's puppies and Willow's puppies are all doing great, gaining weight and developing so quickly, soon it will be puppy selection time for their families, how exciting!

We hope you enjoy St. Patrick's day, don't have too much green beer, mmmm steak and kidney pie! The best! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Okay, so look at the picture of the beach, now, look out your window ~ anything wrong with what you see? Ughhh, here today it's blowing and is soooo cold!!! What a horrible cold winter it's been.  Some of my friends like Annie, and Mason and Kat, Zoey, they all need haircuts but it's been way too cold. Hopefully it will start to warm up soon.

Tawny's puppies have begun to leave us for their new families, this is an exciting time for them but can also be a little nerve wracking when you first bring your puppy home. What to expect, what to do, check out our Bringing Puppy Home Secton of the website, there is lots of good tips and information there to help you and your new puppy on your way! Sometimes it takes a day or so for the puppy and you to recognize your own signals and get used to a new routine, but then all of a sudden everything seems to fall into place and you can relax and enjoy your new family member.

Today our big news is Josie's puppies are on their way so we should soon have some new little ones around. Willow comes next with her first little batch of babies, we are excited to see what she has for puppies, she is so pretty.

Also we have changed the puppy food we are using, only the puppy not the adult. We are using Royal Canin puppy for our little ones as we are just happier with the results. Our adult dogs are all still on Horizon and any puppies we keep will be switched over to Horizon as they mature. The Royal Canin pieces are much tinier and they make a nice soft "first food" for puppies which is great when they first start eating. If you have any questions just email us about it.

Well with March coming in like a lion we sure hope it goes out like a lamb! Hope your winter where you live has been mild and warm. Check back soon for pictures of Josie's new babies and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Feb 16/09

Just a quick note to fill you in on some news, Dianne and Kevin are off to the "Dogminican" for a week for some much needed rest and relaxation, their oldest son Danny and his girlfriend Megan will be staying here with Patrick to help me look after all the other dogs and puppies. I wanted to go along but someone had to stay behind and show the boys what to do! I can't believe Dianne isn't taking me ~ after all don't I deserve a break too? Man, what a dog has to do!

All of Faith's puppies have left now for their new homes, their families were so happy and excited to get them. We love that part! Soon it will be time for Tawny's and Buffy's to leave as well as our cute little rescue puppies Marshall and Tudor. Their mom Lucy will also be going to join her new family then as well. We are so happy we could be a part of their happily ever after story! :)

Well, have a pawsitively great day, try to stay warm and check back soon!

Feb 10/09

Aren't the puppies cute in their Valentine's Sweaters? Although really, a dog shouldn't be wearing clothes you have to admit they are pretty adorable! Don't forget to give your four legged family member and extra squeeze, maybe even a special little treat this Valentine's day. After all, who can beat that unconditional love they give you 24/7?

We are getting ready for Faith's puppies to go home this weekend, sigh, it's always a time of mixed emotions, we are sad to see them leave but always so happy for their new families and for the new life the puppies will share with them. The puppies go to see Dr.Tanya to get their checkup and their first shot, then it's a day at the "MollyDog Spa" getting all bathed, blow dryed, "pet"icure done, so they are all nice and spiffy for their homecoming!

Pretty soon it will be time for Tawny and Buffy's puppies to be leaving as well, wow, the time really goes by fast! We wish the winter would go by as fast but somehow that never seems to happen, lol. Oh well, not much longer now . . . we hope.

We hope you have a "pawsitively" fabulous Valentine's day with the people you love, don't forget to let them know how much they mean to you!

Jan 22/09

Well, what a year it's been so far! The weather, until recently, has been frigid, so bad that we know of some MollyDog families that are heading off to some nice warm places like the "Dogminican Republic" or "Pawaii" and even "Rex-ico". Those are some lucky people. It did warm up for a couple of days but now back to the cold.  We were busy here, Dianne's mother in law was in the hospital for a couple of weeks so we were very worried, we really love Vi and want her to get better. Thanks to everyone for their warm wishes during this family emergency.

All the puppies are doing fabulously and their pictures have all been updated so make sure you check them out. We will have new videos soon as well so watch for that. Marshall and Tudor are still looking for homes although we do have some families that are coming out to see them so we hope that works out for them. Aren't they getting prettier everyday? We are so thrilled to have played a part in the rescue of them and their Mom.

We hope all is well with you and that your new year is off to a great start. Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

Jan 4/09

It was a busy New Year's Eve here at MollyDogs when Tawny decided to have her five new little babies! Aren't they gorgeous? Three sweet little boys and two baby girls - Mom and babies are doing really well. Tawny is a first time Mom and you would think she was an old pro, she is very attentive and caring.

We are just in the process of updating the puppy pages with new pictures and we have redone one of our photo albums, the Past Puppy page has been given a bit of a new look. Actually the whole site will be revamped this year and given a fresh new look. We are very excited about it.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season and we wish you all the best in the New Year! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

We want to wish you the merriest of Christmas's and a wonderful holiday season. This is such a special time of year, so much more than presents, and packages. We are thankful for the time we are able to spend with family and friends, we keep in our thoughts and prayers those that are on their own this season and those who are in another land, fighting , and we pray for peace on Earth.  We would like to share the following simple but very meaningful poem:

  A little Child,

A shining star,

A stable rude,

 The door ajar.

Yet in that place

So crude, forlorn,

The hope of All

  The world was born.

Dec 17/08

I can't believe it's the 17th of December already! Wow, and Dianne has sooo much to do still. Luckily for me, I'm all done, whatever that means. Take a look at our puppy pages - photos have been updated - soooo cute! Of course, Somarra's puppies are my grand puppies so I'm a little biased when it comes to them. But all the puppies look so cute in their Christmas sweaters and dresses. Adorable. Normally you wouldn't see a dog in that type of thing but apparently the puppies didn't have much choice. If you know what I mean. . .

The weather here has been downright frosty, this past week with windchills the temperature has been - 43, yup, -43! Crazy. I mean, you have to go outside for certain things, but you really don't want to. Gotta love a fireplace when it's like this outside. Be careful if you have a little puppy right now as their tender little pads on their paws can get frost bite quite easily, that's a good thing with our puppies being litter trained they don't even have to go outside in this weather.

Well, off to decorate my crate, hope you have a great holiday and let's all pray for peace on earth! It could use it!

Molly

Dec 13/08 - Update : Lily found a great home - thank you!

We would like to introduce you to Lily. Lily, who has been mentioned on my blog before, is looking for a home. She is 18 months old and is a beautiful, affectionate, playful little dog. She weighs around 10 - 11 lbs, she has a straight, very thick coat and would make a wonderful family member. She recently had surgery for bladder stones, and is already spayed. Lily needs to be on a special diet the rest of her life, which is just a dry dog food that you purchase from a Vet's Office. If Lily is kept on this food only and ever develops the stones again this company, Medi Cal, will pay for the surgery if surgery is needed. I hope we can find Lily a great home, she would make an excellent companion for a person living on their own or be great with children as she is still very playful and loves to run and chase balls. Please contact us if you or someone you know would consider giving our Lily a home. We really appreciate it.

In other news, our Faith is close to having her puppies, they should be due any day and are all spoken for. What a busy time of year this is, hopefully not too stressful for everyone. We are supposed to be having a big blizzard today and the temperatures here have dropped like a rock since yesterday! Brrrrr. Gotta run, presents to wrap, dog biscuits to make!

Have a pawsitively great weekend!

Charlie and Max

Dec 6/08

Aren't Charlie and Max so adorable? This was after their "MollyDog Spa" treatment getting them ready to go home with their new families on Friday. They got the full treatment, comb out, shampoo, blow dry, "pet"icure! Although they loved the massage part of the shampoo, they were not crazy about the blow dryer! Anyways both look fluffy and gorgeous - we are so happy for their new families, although for us we will miss their little kisses, wet noses, and puppy breath.

The rest of Cookie's puppies will go home on Monday and Chevy will stay with us for another week, she will have lots of fun playing with our Kat and Zoey who are not much older than she is. Gabby's puppies at one month are so tiny, especially little Maggie, I have a sneaking suspicion she is only going to be about the size of Dad - Chip, who is 4 lbs. Meanwhile Somarra's puppies have opened their eyes are are progressing with the BioSensor work that we do. The puppy photos will all be updated within the next few days as will our ever popular Happy Tails page so check back to see the latest MollyDog photo shoot!

We are off to do some Christmas Shopping, yay! Hopefully Santa is bringing me and the gang some new toys and of course we always love the new bones, we hear our friend Wendy has a whole bunch for us. Yum! Have a pawsitively great day!

Molly

Nov 24/08

We recently got this picture of Max and Rocky so we thought we'd share it as we often get inquiries as to how the boys are doing in their new home. Well as you can see they are quite content. How great that they will get to be together always as they grew up here as puppies. We were so happy to see new pictures of them show up on the MollyDogsFacebook group, yes, there is a MollyDogs Face book group! Thanks Bruce and Christine for sharing the photos.

Somarra had her puppies on Saturday night after keeping us waiting, and waiting. Mom and babies are all doing well, you can see them on Somarra's puppy page, they are adorable, of course! Today the puppies will go for their dew claw removal - ouch! But so much easier and better for them to be done at this age rather than later or leave them on and have them tear on something.

Everyone else is out playing and enjoying the beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures today - oh, I gotta go, I hear them barking my name - talk to you later! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

Nov 18/08

This is our little Somarra, she is due any day now, isn't she pretty? Her puppies will be the tiny, what we call, our "mini" MollyDogs! Her last puppies were absolutely adorable, of course, and I'm not saying that just because Somarra is my daughter and her puppies will be my grand puppies. She really is pretty and she is also a very good Mom. So keep checking back to see her newborn puppies pictures posted.

Everyone else here at MollyDogs is doing really well, all our puppies are growing and playing. It's so much fun to watch them learn and develop. Although that also means they are getting closer to leaving us which is always hard.

Our Lily is looking for a home, she is 16 months old and if you read below then you know we spayed her due to bladder stones. If you are looking for a great adult dog she would be the one, she is affectionate and playful. Due to the bladder stone issue though she does have to be on a special dry dog food for the rest of her life, no table food or anything like that. Contact us if you know of someone that would like to give some TLC to a special little dog!

Thanks, and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

Nov 6/08

Well it has been a very busy time here at MollyDogs. What a week. Gabby had her puppies yesterday, one little girl and two little boys, Mom and babies are doing well. Gabby had a C-section to have her babies so we also had her spayed at the same time. We feel it is the responsible thing to do for her, if one of our Moms has any trouble delivering or can't have them naturally then we just don't need to breed them and feel they would be much better off just finding their new family home. Gabby will be staying right here with us at MollyDogs which I am so happy about because her and I are real buddies and we love to play together.

Our Lily will be also spayed on Monday as she wasn't feeling well and we found out she had a bladder stone so rather than risk passing that along to any puppies she might have had it is in her best interests to not have any babies but find her new family and home a little sooner than planned. We will really miss Lily and will be sad to see her leave.

So we have had quite a few changes here in the last four months, I guess like all parts of life nothing stays the same for very long. We are just grateful that the dogs are all healthy, Lily will be fine once she has the stone removed, and we really appreciate all the people that contact us looking for adult dogs. It's so nice that there are families that will consider giving an adult dog a home.

Have a pawsitively great day!

October 29/08

Can you believe it? A witch's hat? Really! How humiliating, expecially when you have your own blog to write on and update. The things I have to put up with, also some of my friends - check out their photos on the Happy Tails page. Some of them had it way worse than me - I only had to wear a hat - but at least they got to go out and get a treat! The local pet store had a Halloween party for pets, Donna and Ian took Jessie, Ginger, and Bailey, it looks like they had lots of fun. Me, I just get to wear the hat and have my picture taken.

Oh well, could be worse. The puppies are all doing well, growing like crazy. They are all so cute. Cookie's puppies are actually my great grand puppies! Yup - hard to believe I'm a great grandma when I look as good as I do. LOL.

Hope you have a "pawsitively" great Halloween and enjoy the treats!

Oct 22/08

We have to tell you about our girl, Keira. Keira came to live with us in November 2003, she was the most adorable little puppy ever - white with gorgeous gold markings, a silky coat, the most beautiful big eyes. We fell in love with her right away. I had lots of fun with her chasing her around the house, pulling on her tail, then she would chase me and pull on my tail. Patrick especially loved Keira and considered her his dog. Keira has given us beautiful, loving puppies, any of you who have a Keira puppy know what we are talking about. Some of Keira's puppies are Maggie, Kozmo, Gracie, Lola, Molly, Emma, Snickers, KitKat, etc, they are all beautiful dogs in their own right. Yesterday Keira was spayed and is beginning a new journey in her life. She has found a wonderful home with Joan in Saskatoon and will be going to live out her retirement years (she's only 5!) with Joan and her cat, Miss Mew. We are really going to miss Keira, she has brought us so much enjoyment and made us laugh on many, many occasions. We know she will give this same joy to Joan. It just won't be the same for us around here with our Keira. We know she is moving on to a great new life and home. Thank you Joan, for giving Keira that great new life.

Someone once told Dianne that it would be easier to retire the dogs once she had done it a few times but you know what, I don't think that has been true. We still miss our Max, Rocky, and Lucy and it is just as hard to see Keira leave as it was them. They all hold a very special place in our hearts being our first generation of MollyDogs and a very special place in our family.

During this upcoming year some of our other moms will be leaving us, Pebbles will be retiring soon, Sophie is going to live with Dianne's sister in Ontario, Faith will also be leaving us within the year. We are so grateful for the people that do consider giving older dogs a home, puppies are wonderful but 4 or 5 year old dogs also have much to offer and make great companions.

Have a pawsitively great day!

Oct 15/08

Well we had quite the Thanksgiving weekend here at MollyDogs. Cookie went into labour on Saturday and ended up having her puppies starting at midnight which made for a very tired Dianne putting a turkey in the oven on Sunday morning! Happily everyone is doing well, Cookie is a great little mom and has the most beautiful puppies. The two solid colour puppies are the girls and the two black and white/brown and white are the boys. Aren't they gorgeous?

Now for some much needed rest! Have a pawsitively great day!

Quick Update: Cookie's puppies have arrived! (Oct 12/08)

Oct 5/08

What beautiful weather! Wow, we love it. We've had a busy, busy week here this week ~ Annabelle has had her puppies, three little boys and two little girls, you can see their pictures on their MollyDogs Puppy page. Mom and babies are doing great, we are excited to watch them and see their colour come in over time. We know they will be gorgeous.

We were really happy to have our friend Heather's dog Maggie here for the last week or so, she came to "visit" our boy Gormley (wink, wink). Heather is a fabulous breeder of Shichon dogs from Washington state that we have gotten to know and love. You won't find a breeder that treats her dogs and puppies with more love, compassion and respect. Of course she has lots of help from her great family as well. She has beautiful dogs and puppies and we are excited about our joint upcoming batch of puppies.

Our next puppies coming are due in the next ten days or so and Cookie is the mom and Bosco is the Dad. After that we will have two sets of mini's coming in November. We are looking forward to our new babies, we love watching them grow and learn.

Have a "pawsitively" great day and we hope you had a wonderful weekend. We really enjoyed ours with our U.S. friends, it was great to meet in person finally. Hope you had a safe trip back, Heather, Kevin and of course, Maggie!

Molly

Sept 22/08

We love fall (or autumn), the air is so crisp, it smells so fresh, the colours are gorgeous. In Saskatchewan harvest is busy and under way. The crops look so beautiful in the fields and nothing says fall like watching 2 or 3 massive combines combing through a field of wheat. I love when a full "harvest moon" lights up the sky at night and you can see everything, it never really gets dark. Of course the cooler daytime temperatures are a little easier to take as well. Dianne is busy getting all us dogs groomed now so we have a manageable coat during the winter months.

We are excited for this coming weekend as we will be going on a road trip to meet and pick up our friend Maggie, she has a "date" here with Gormley, he will be very happy to see her! ;). Our friend Kayda was here for a staycation while his family was away, he had a very good time here with all the other dogs. We love watching the dogs reunite with their families, they are always so happy to see them.

Almost all our puppies have gone home now, Peanut, Molly and Lulu are still here, Lulu leaves us for California on Thursday! It will be fun for them to get to their new homes and begin the next part of their life with their own family. We are hearing from families that have taken their puppies home in the last couple of weeks and all seems to be going well, we love the updates so keep them coming!

Hope you're enjoying the weather and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly  P.S. Happy Tails page and Reference page updated.

Sept 13/08

What a busy week it's been here at MollyDogs! The MollyDog Spa has been very busy getting Hanna's puppies ready to join their families; the last couple of days the puppies were having their baths, their "pet"icures, little puppy massages, trims, gathering up their blankets and toys all in preparation to go to their new homes. They were really ready to say goodbye to us and start their new lives. Dianne is really going to miss their little puppy kisses, wet noses and wagging tails. We posted a couple of new videos of them outside playing with Hanna on youtube. All have gone home now except Mindy. We also have a new video there of Keira and Josie's puppies as well if you'd like to see them. Just type "mollydogs" in the search box.

On the tear staining front we have to tell you about the product "Angel Eyes", we are so excited about it. We saw with our own eyes (well, Dianne's eyes actually, not mine) how well it works. One of our puppies, Cooper was out as his family wanted to show us what a difference it's made for him. His coat under his eyes is sparkling white and dry, his paws had been slightly stained as well and are now white as snow. Just beautiful. If your dog or puppy is having problems with tear staining get this product, it is amazing.

This October and November we will be having more puppies, Annabelle and Cookie will be having some of our gorgeous regular size MollyDogs, while Gabby and Somarra will each have some of our adorable "mini" MollyDogs. Let us know right away if you might be interested as we have begun taking reservations for these puppies.

We heard this week that Sophie's little Stanley has been out and about in New York City enjoying the sights and sounds there and our little Guido has gone away on an artist's retreat with his new mom. It is always amazing to us how our puppies are enjoying life in some many different ways with their own unique families. MollyDogs are everywhere! So awesome! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

August 29/08

I'm not sure where you live but here in Saskatchewan fall has arrived! Sadly, it's true, we've been watching the birds flock and head south, our days are getting soooo much shorter, there are combines out in the fields getting the harvest done - where did summer go? Kevin says when you live in Saskatchewan summer is just 6 weeks of really bad snow mobiling - boy, was he right this year! (Although we don't like to tell him that).

All our puppy pictures have been updated, sorry for the delay but Dianne has been quite sick and without her, well, I just can't seem to keep this site updated! Keira now has a little girl available, she is adorable, she is a soft gold colour with white markings, so cute - take a look at her picture on Keira's puppy page, you'll agree.

Our next puppies are due in October and we will also have some mini's coming as well - they go really fast so if you are interested in a tiny Shichon let us know soon.

Hope you have a "pawsitively" great long weekend and are able to enjoy some family time.

Molly

August 21/09

It seems like MollyDogs are out everywhere this summer enjoying the weather. Check out the new photos added to the Happy Tails page and you'll see what we mean. MollyDogs really get around! It has been another busy summer here with the expansion of our dog runs and other work on our building, of course the puppies always keep us busy with lots to do, grooming, cleaning, and not to mention, the cuddling, of course, that's not too hard to take.

Here are some comments from some of our MollyDog families that recently got their puppies home, we thought you might want to hear what they were saying:

Stanley's owner Mindy says: "Stanley hasn't even been here two days and he is already a part of the family. My daughter hasn't stopped smiling since we brought him home. None of us have. He's been going in the litter box, eating up a storm, and playing like crazy.  He bounces from one lap to the next as if we were all meant to be together. The past two nights, he's slept all the way through. Not one single whimper. He goes to bed in his crate, without complaint and wakes up happy. Tail wagging. He is the perfect dog. So worth the wait!"

Maggie's owner Peggy told us this:  " Maggie went for her last shot this morning, she doesn't cry or fuss about it. She's the only dog I know who is happy to see the vet. She weighed 2.50lbs on July22/08 & today she weighed 3.4lbs (at 16 weeks). She seems to be very happy all the time, loves to play when she sees someone new,she really thinks everyone should pay attention to her. Doing very good on the training, she goes to the door & cries to go outside, if there is an accident it is my fault for not paying ttention. If its play time & I'm on this machine she sneaks in here and sit about 4 feet from me & barks or whines she just wants to play. We also have a play time after supper & she lets me know about tht also. Doing very well on the leash. I am so very happy with her."

How nice to hear the puppies are doing so well. Both of these puppies were from Sophie's past batch of babies, they are mini's.

Hard to believe school is starting next week for some, summer seemed to fly by this year. We hope you had a good one and were able to have some time to relax and enjoy family and friends. Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

August 9/09

Hi Everyone! It's been a while as we were away, the puppy photos are being updated so check the puppy pages. Okay, so, if you don't like photos from trips you won't like the following. These are pictures of my trip to visit my sister, Daisy in Ontario. I thought I'd share a few as we saw some very interesting things on our trip. We were going down to surprise Grandpa for his 80th birthday party, then just before we left our other Grandma that lives here got very ill so we had to leave a little earlier. All is well though and she is doing great! Hope you enjoy the photos.

Big Storm Clouds followed us out of Saskatchewan

Are We There Yet? What a long drive!

I love going on the boat!

Have you ever seen Loons? There was about seven of them out this night on the lake fishing, playing . .

Are we there yet? What a long drive home!

July 24/08

Little Emma, a Keira/Rocky puppy, was here for a few days for a "MollyDog Summer Camp" stay-cation, she had so much fun playing with the other dogs; as you can see, she likes to climb and be up on something watching the proceedings. Isn't she a cutie?

All our Moms and puppies are doing great. The puppies are all growing and thriving. It really is a joy to watch them grow and get to the stage where they are ready to go and join their families. Little Stanley and Guido left today for their new homes :( . We are excited for their new families as we know how much fun and enjoyment they will bring with them to their new homes. They had a riot here last night terrorizing our cat!

We hope you are enjoying your summer, please remember to give your pet lots of fresh water and not to leave them in hot cars while you go in somewhere. Sometimes it is just kinder to leave the dog at home on a really hot day. That's what Dianne does with us, even though we love car rides, we just get too hot in the car this time of year.

Stay cool and have a "pawsitively" great summer!

Molly

Can you spot the MollyDog puppy in this garden? Look closely

Thanks Donna, for the fun picture of Ginger!

July 21/08 - The "Dog" Days of Summer!

We love this photo, Dianne thought it was so cute we thought we'd share it here on the Blog! We wanted to pass along a tip for those of you who have dogs with sensitive skin or who get really itchy after a bath. Dianne recently purchased some shampoo from our Vet, Tanya, it is called CortiSoothe and we are really happy with it. No perfumes, very gentle and does a great job and the puppies/dogs are not itchy after bathing. Try it out if your dog has sensitive skin. We're sure you'll like it.

Keira's puppies are due any day now. This will be Keira's last little batch of babies and then she is off to her new home with Joan in Saskatoon where she will be leading the good life! Keira was our second MollyDog Mom and we will miss her. She has given us some very beautiful puppies with loving temperaments. We know she will enjoy her "retirement".

For our local families that love to come and visit and we love to see them we want you to know that we are no longer going to be having Sunday visits. We have decided that we (dogs and family) need to have a "down" day. We always try our best to accomodate everyone, week nights, Saturdays, whenever possible so we hope you understand. Thanks.

Stay tuned for Keira's puppy announcement and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

July 10/08

UPDATE: Dianne is still waiting for puppies to arrive. She keeps taking temperatures, watching, waiting, taking temperatures, watching, waiting . . . you get the idea. See, there are due dates and then there is the reality of puppies come when they are ready :), Hanna is getting bigger by the day and definitely closer. Her temp dropped earlier this week so we thought things were happening but nothing so far. Josie also is not far away. We will post the big news here as soon as puppies begin arriving so keep watching, especially all you "regular" Molly's Blog readers! You know who you are! ;)

Molly

July 7/08

Well, we have Hanna and Josie who are about to have new little MollyDogs! Hanna is due right away and Josie should be having her puppies this coming weekend, maybe. You never know for sure. Hanna has been bred with Bosco and their last puppies were absolutely gorgeous. Josie has been bred with Chip our little 4 lb Dad. They should be very pretty and very tiny puppies. Keep checking back for Josie and Hanna's birth announcements!

We wanted to share with you a quote from one of our families that took a puppy home last Friday. Donna and Ian adopted Ginger, one of Faith's puppies. Now Donna and Ian were already part of the MollyDog family as they have Jessie, who is a frequent star on the Happy Tails page, well now Jessie has a new little sister. Here is what Donna emailed me after having Ginger home:

" We had a very good night.  Ginger went in her crate around 10:40pm and never made a sound. She slept until 5:18am.  I let her out, she peed, went back in the crate to sleep until 7am.  Isn't that great???  She has been a very happy puppy today and has had fun with Jessie.  Jessie growled at her only once today and they have "play fought" a few times.  Ginger is pretty gutsy....not timid at all.  Your neuro testing is right on the money.

The most thrilling part of the day has been how SUPER the cat litter is working.  As soon as I put her out she knows exactly why she is there and will go right in the pan to do her business within 30-60 seconds. ( sometimes faster)    How fabulous is that???? Thank you so much for this training !!!  This is huge!!!!  Once again we are very happy MollyDog owners!"

That is so great that the puppies do so well when they go home. We are always happy to hear how well they make the transition from our home to their new home.

For our Regina and area MollyDog customers please check out the new One Stop Dog Shop on south Rae Street (4637 Rae) in Regina. They are also known as the grooming salon Pawsitively Purrfect. We purchase all our dog food there, a grooming table, clippers, crates, etc. They have everything! Richard, one of the owners, is extremely helpful and wants to do business with you. Tell him you are a MollyDog family member when you go in. They are very knowledgeable and we are really happy doing business there. They really are a "one stop dog shop".

Well that's it for now, as I said earlier check back for our upcoming birth announcements and have a "pawsitively" great day!

July 2/08

We have a picture of Lucy and one of her new family members - Kyle, we took this photo when Kyle and his Mom and sister came to pick Lucy up. Lucy was so happy to see them. She is going to have so much fun with them. We also hear that Rocky and Max are doing great and went fishing this past weekend. Wow, they are really getting out and about. How great is that for them? We love it!

Little Miya, the last of Faith's puppies will be going home this weekend, as are Pebble's puppies. Sophie's will stay with us a little longer as they are so tiny. The puppies have been having just a riot out on the front lawn chasing each other around, getting into the flower beds, climbing on the rocks, chewing on grass, etc, etc. Of course I love to play with them as I don't have any of my own puppies anymore since "the surgery". We have great fun, chasing and wrestling each other. Usually all the puppies will come and climb all over me, grab my ears, tail, whatever they can get their sharp little teeth into.

We will spend the next couple of days bathing and grooming them, each puppy will get their own little "peticure", it's very important to keep those nails trimmed and especially the hair on the pads of their paws. If that hair gets too long the puppies can slip and slide when running, they can actually damage joints so we like to keep those little pads nice and clean so they can get good traction!

So that's our update for now, we hope you had a great Canada Day and to our U.S. friends Happy 4th of July coming up! Stay safe and have a "pawsitively" great day!

June 22/08

Hi! This is Lucy, I'm the "guest blogger" today on Molly's blog. Molly's fine she just wanted me to tell you myself about my big day today. I got to spend the day with my new family - wow! did I have a great day! I went on a few walks with Katelynn, Erica and Kyle, that was sure fun, I am really going to enjoy going for walks with them. There are so many things to see and smell in the city. How fun is this going to be, living with three such great kids! I got to meet some other kids, apparently they live in the neighbourhood so that will be fun. I also made a new friend whose name is "Peanut" who lives next door so I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of each other. My new pack is really great, Sharon and Gerry were really kind and I can hardly wait to go and live with them. You know, they even bought me my own blanket for the couch and I'm going to get to wake Kyle up every morning! What a sweet life I'm going to be leading! Yup, I really lucked in.

It's always an adjustment to leave one pack for another but I know this will be a good move and I will certainly come back to visit Dianne, Molly, and all my friends here at MollyDogs - besides two of my kids are still here - Mason and Lily! Apparently, first I have to have something called "the surgery" on Tuesday and then spend a few more days here with Dianne ( I heard she might be a little sad about the whole leaving thing) and then I will be going to my fabulous new home!

Now to fill you in on other MollyDog news. Rocky has joined Max and they are living in their new home together in Winnipeg. Rocky is such a good boy and we look forward to updates from Christine and Bruce on how both boys are doing. Faith's puppies are well on their way to going to their new homes. Both them and Sophie's puppies will be getting their 8 week shots this week and having Dr. Tanya check them over. In preparation for leaving us Faith's puppies have been playing outside on the lawn, running around the kitchen, chasing each other around the island and hiding in the hall closet! So much to do and to so many places for puppies to explore!

Well, bye for now, I am very tired after such a big, exciting day. I hope you had a great day too and have a "pawsitively" great week!

Lucy (in for Molly)

June 16/08

Some surprising news here at MollyDogs, we've know for weeks that Rocky would be leaving us this coming weekend to join his pal Max but we were not expecting to retire Lucy quite so early. She could have stayed with us for another couple of sets of puppies however, the most absolutely perfect family has come along and wants to adopt her so we just cannot pass up this wonderful opportunity for her. She is going to live with Sharon and Gerry and their children and will have just a great home and life with them. They already love her! So as sad as this will be for us we are so happy for her and for them.

It's so strange, all of a sudden all of our "original" MollyDogs will be gone. Max, Rocky, Lucy, Keira and of course, me, Molly, were the ones that started everything here. Keira will be joining her new family late this fall, she is about to have her last puppies in July and will be leaving us once the puppies have gone to their families. So big, big changes here at MollyDogs. We truly are into our second and third generation of MollyDog Moms and Dads.

It's exciting for Rocky to be joining Max this weekend. Christine has sent  us pictures of Max out and about in Winnipeg, he's had quite the calendar there, ball games, parks, relatives, wow, and he is loving every minute of it. We are so grateful. It's great that he will be there to show Rocky "the ropes" and they will have each other as buddies.

We have new puppy videos posted on our youtube channel, always adorable! The time goes by so fast it's hard to believe that Faith's puppies will be leaving soon. Wow. Give your dog a big hug and have a "pawsitively" great day!

June 7/08

Welcome Christine and Bruce to the MollyDog Family! As hard as it was for Dianne and Kevin and Patrick to let him go they could see the happiness on your faces and they know how thrilled you are to get Max. What a great life he is going to have with you; and it will be even better once Rocky joins him. Thanks again and don't forget to send us pictures!

June 5/08

Well, this is it, this Saturday Max leaves us for his new home. While we are so happy for him to begin this new chapter in his life and while we know what a wonderful home Christine and Bruce are going to give him we are going to miss him so much. I keep hearing Dianne and Kevin say they don't know how they are going to let him go but they know it is the best thing for him and how happy he will be, plus in a few weeks Rocky will be joining him. Max was our very first MollyDog Dad and he has produced absolutely beautiful puppies with wonderful temperaments, he, himself, is the most gentle  and loving dog. Not to mention that beautiful colour. Any of you that have a "Max puppy" know what I'm talking about. We are so happy that his son, Mason, and his grandson, Gormley will stay here and continue to pass on that gorgeous colour and loving personality. We wish Christine and Bruce all the best with Max and Rocky; we are very, very grateful that they are going to be able to stay together and we really appreciate the wonderful home they are going to. Good Luck Christine and Bruce, thank you so much; and Goodbye Max! We will miss you. . .

May 29/08

Meet Bridget and Annie, the newest additions to MollyDogs! Aren't they pretty. Bridget is a true tri-colour little girl while Annie is a beautiful white/gold parti. Both girls have wonderful loving temperaments and have already made good friends here with Riley, Gormley and some of the other dogs. Two of our previous puppies, Snickers and KitKat are here for a little "stay-cation" while their family is away. We always love having the chance to see some of our puppies again, it's kinda neat to see how they've changed, what their colour has done, etc.

Bailey and Ozzie, Annabelle's puppies will be leaving soon, they are seven weeks old this week and are totally litter trained. We love the litter training, it so much cleaner and neater than using the papers, it's great for the puppies.

Rocky is having the "big surgery" today. He is getting neutered and ready to begin his new "retired" life, happily he will have his buddy Max with him.

Well, that's the news for MollyDogs right now. Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the new puppy pics and have a "pawsitively" great day! :)

May 21/08

We are definitely going to have to change that graphic, it is NOT sunny and warm, more like cloudy, cool, and of course windy! We wouldn't be Saskatchewan if it wasn't windy! I don't really like the feel of the wind going through my fur and really don't like it blowing in my eyes, I know the other dogs feel the same way. One day when I was in the City I saw a dog wearing dog goggles, man, he's got it made. Now, I have a coat, a hat, a couple of bandanas but no eye goggles, I'm going to have to talk to Dianne. Somehow, though, I just don't see it happening.

Ticks are out - yuck! They are so gross, we will be getting our annual tick treatment from the Vet's, that always helps. Depending on where you live you might have to have treatment for heartworm too.

Some of our puppies/dogs have been taking agility classes with outstanding results! If this is something you have thought of for your dog let me encourage you to try it. Even though we are small dogs we LOVE the running, jumping and just overall exercise it gives us. Regular puppy classes are good too and are never a bad thing to do.

Well, I have to go help Dianne take the new pictures of Pebbles' puppies to update her page. Her puppies have their little eyes open now and they are soooo adorable! Hope you had a great long weekend and remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

May 15/08

Things are very busy here at MollyDogs. We have been making our outside runs even bigger than they were before, we've added to the inside of the building and pretty soon will putting down new flooring! Wow, it's going to be pretty nice in there. Dianne and family are very excited to be going to see Phantom of the Opera tomorrow, me, not so much. I mean, if it was The Dog Whisperer or Eddy the dog from Frasier or something like that I could understand all the excitement, however, it also means I'll be with the rest of the dogs overnight. Hmmm, I really think I should be going along with the family to Saskatoon. Maybe the opera wouldn't be that bad after all!

The families that are on Faith's waiting list will be making their selections this week and then Sophie's will begin right away as well. We have completed the Bio Sensor work for both litters which now gives us more information to pass along to the families as they make their decisions. What an exciting time as they choose their new family member!

We hope you enjoy the new photos of all the puppies, they are certainly growing fast. Pretty soon it will be time for Annabelle's to be leaving us - wow. Well I hope you have a great long weekend and enjoy all the sunshine! Have a "pawsitively" great weekend!

Molly

May 8/08

Wow, what a week or so it's been. Today Pebbles had her very pretty puppies. She had four girls and one boy! This will be the last of our puppies for a couple of months. Pebbles and her babies are doing really well.

On another note Max was neutered on Monday which is sort of sad for us as this makes him one step closer to leaving us, but a happy occurance for Christine and Bruce who are giving Max and Rocky an excellent home. Max will start his new "retired" life in early June with Rocky following a few weeks later. As much as we will miss them we are so happy for the new life they are going to lead.

The litter training experiment has been going very well. Dianne was so excited yesterday because one of the puppies pooped in the litter, boy, it really doesn't take a lot to get her excited these days! It really is nice though in the nursery, really helps to keep everything cleaner and so much better than using paper.

The puppies are our BIG NEWS of the day, go to Pebble's Page and you will see the photos taken at just 9 hours of age. Thanks for checking in and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

May 2/08

Wow, Sophie had her five beautiful babies yesterday. Three boys and two girls. This is her all settled in with them, in the photo they are about 16 hours old and nursing away like crazy. Sophie is a great little Mom and her babies are beautiful. More updates to come later.

Have a "pawsitively" great day!

April 29/08

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have changed our food to a brand called Horizon. This is a Saskatchewan company that produces the dog food right here in the province, they use all local ingredients from local producers, except the salmon, for obvious reasons :)... this is a high quality food, no animal by-products, no additives, no preservatives, the puppy food even has colostrum in it! What we really like about this company is that it is not a big multi-national company that is buying its food ingredients from all over the world with who knows what in it. The pet food recall last year was just a little too scary. This food is made here and employs people here. Please visit their website and you can read all about it www.horizonpetfood.com

It is available from British Columbia into Ontario. Please let me know if you have any questions about this food or about changing your dog or puppy over to it.

April 28/08

Well, we have our computer back and just in time! There has been so much happening, we've had puppies leave and puppies arrive. What a crazy week. Yes, Faith has had her puppies, very early this morning. She had three beautiful little girls and one beautiful little boy. Gorgeous colouring. Mason, Max's son is the proud Dad, so that would make Max the Grandpa and me - wow - great Grandma! Mom and babies are doing well, all snuggled up together nursing and sleeping.

Two of Somarra's puppies went home this weekend as did two of Lucy's, although it's hard to watch the puppies leave it's so nice to see the happy faces as they leave with their new family member.

Annabelle's puppies are up moving around, eyes open, and we are excited to tell you that they will be the very first MollyDog puppies to be litter trained, yup, litter trained! They are doing excellent with it already at three weeks of age so we hope to continue this practice rather than the paper training. Many thanks to our friend Heather who has been helping Dianne with this.

All the dogs spent the day in the yard yesterday enjoying the nice weather while we work on expanding their outside runs, they are going to be really big now and give them lots of room to run and play. But we enjoy having them in the yard and hang out on the deck with us as well, so that will always continue.

Well check back soon for the new photos of Faith's new babies and have a "pawsitively" great day!

April 21/08

COMPUTER WOES! :(

Dianne's computer has to go see the computer Dr. this week as it hasn't been feeling well and is making funny sounds. So we won't be able to update our puppy pages this week, she should be able to answer emails though from Kevin's laptop so if you don't hear back from her right away don't worry. She will get emails as she can.

Some of Lucy's puppies and Somarra's puppies will be leaving us this coming weekend. Hard to believe they are that old already. Most of Somarra's will be here a little longer as they are tiny and aren't quite ready to go yet. The same with Bailey, Lucy's puppy. She will be here a little longer. But all the puppies are doing great and will go to see Dr. Tanya this week for their shots and checkup. We are sad to see them leave but sometimes the puppies get to a stage where they just really need to be home with their new families and we know how much fun they are going to have in their new homes.

Oh, and don't you just love this blast of winter! Not. Ahhh, life in Saskatchewan! As Kevin always says "Summer in Saskatchewan is just 6 weeks of really bad snowmobiling!" Isn't that the truth!

Bye for now and have a "pawsitively" great week!

Molly

April 11/08

So, what a crazy week it has been around here at MollyDogs! We were very excited to witness Annabelle's two babies into our world, they are so pretty. Cookie's puppies will be going home this weekend with little Peanut being the first to leave, then Mojo a few days later. :(  Somarra's puppies will be staying a little longer as they are tiny and will need more time here with us and Mom. Lucy's puppies are doing fabulous, they have begun their crate training and are really doing well with it. All the puppies have taken to their crates so nicely, they really are "home" for the puppies. I share mine with Gabby sometimes, but sometimes I like to have it all to myself so I can really stretch out.

Check out our revised Photo Album and Bringing Puppy Home sections. We, meaning web guy "extrordinaire" Curtis, has changed the layout similar to our Puppy Pages where you go to one main page and then select the section you want from there. Plus he also designed a really cool little graphic on the Videos page that when you click on it will take you right to our own MollyDog youtube channel. Very nice.

Enjoy the nice warm spring weather and the sunshine on your face and remember have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

April 6/08

Update:  Annabelle had one beautiful little boy and one gorgeous little girl at 12:53 a.m. and 1:09 a.m. respectively. Mom and new babies doing great. Photos coming soon, once we all get some rest! :)

April 5/08

BREAKING NEWS! ANNABELLE'S puppies are on their way! Check back later for more updates.

March 26/08

Ahhhh, spring! Don't you just love it? It's so nice to lie outside on the deck in the sun and feel the warmth. We are really enjoying the nice weather, lots of mud, but that's okay, although I do hate having baths. Me and all the other dogs are all getting groomed, that long winter coat is coming off and it feels great. We have all been playing outside a lot more, the days are getting longer, it's great.

All our little puppies are doing so well, they are getting cuter everyday, hard to believe some of them will be leaving in a couple of weeks already! Of course the little mini's are so adorable, but they all are. The puppies are really enjoying the new nursery, it's so nice and bright with lots of room to run and play. It's so cute when they are picked up and their little tails just wag and wag. . .

Now that the nice weather is here make sure you get your dog out for a good long walk, it really helps them burn off all that extra energy, keep their head up while they are walking, don't let them walk with their head down sniffing, that's called "tracking" and they aren't allowed to do that on a walk. Keep them closeby, head up and paying attention to you for leadership while on your walk. Walking is one of the best ways to teach leadership to your dog. I know because that's one of the ways I learned that I wasn't the boss!

Have a "pawsitively" great day and enjoy all the sunshine!

Molly

March 20/08

Happy Easter to everyone! We hope the Easter Bunny is good to you this year. Dianne is back from her trip to visit her family and was shocked when she saw the difference in the puppies. It's amazing how much they can change in 7 or 8 days. Normally of course we see them all the time so don't notice the differences as much. They are all growing, thriving and doing really well. Soooo cute!

We will be busy now with everyone wanting to come and visit their puppies. I was very happy to see Dianne when she got back as her and I kinda think alike, I think we have a special bond so I really missed her and was so happy to see her when she got back. The first thing she did was go right to the kennel building to see everyone, even before she came in the house to see me! Hmmm, so much for the bonding thing. Oh well, I am happy she is home and I think she is too. She even saw my sister, Daisy, when she was away, she lives with Dianne's father and can do the most amazing things. She carries the remote between Dianne's parents and takes her mother her cane and her slippers, she even picks up her toys at night before she goes to bed! Dianne's Dad has taught her a lot.

Well have a "pawsitively" wonderful Easter celebration!

Molly

March 9/08

We're a little early with our St. Patrick's Day wishes but Dianne is going to be away for the next 8 days and I need her to do the typing for me so we had to update my blog today. We hope you have a fun-filled "green" St. Patrick's Day.

Aren't our puppies just gorgeous! We're a little biased of course, but we think they are just beautiful. The mini's are always fun to watch grow, especially once they get up and start playing. They just look like little wind-up toys.

We are loving the nice warm weather, lots of sunshine, it's so nice outside. You know what that means though, grooming, grooming, grooming. Lots of hair cuts coming up for all my friends. It always feels good to lose that heavy winter coat so although I'm not crazy about the bathing and all the trimming, it does feel pretty good when it's done. :)

Well I have to go supervise Dianne's packing, I have to lie on the bed and make sure she gets everything in the suitcase that she'll need while she's away. Too bad I couldn't just jump in there and go too because I just know how much she's going to miss me!

Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day and St. Patrick's Day too!

Molly

February 29/08

Wow ~ February 29th, a leap year. Dianne's Grandmother was born on leap year in 1896 and she lived to be 107! So a leap year day is always a special day for her to remember her Grandmother - what a strong woman she was. She would still carry pails of water at 93 and when she finally did go into a nursing home she complained about all the other residents there that would "lie around and expect to be waited on", of course, those people were in no condition to be looking after themselves, but she didn't see it that way. She was quite a character and is dearly missed to this day and is always remembered at family gatherings. . .

Max and Rocky Update

We are happy to announce we have found a potential home for Max and Rocky where they will be able to go and live together! We are so thrilled, as the boys grew up together and it will be so nice (and easier for us) knowing they are going to have each other. All will be finalized in the spring but it looks good. Thanks to all for your offers of providing homes for them - we appreciate it more than words can say.

We have had lots going on here at MollyDogs lately. Cookie and Somarra's puppies are all so pretty and for first time Moms they are doing great. Lucy is about to have her puppies any day now, her puppies are always so nice. The humans around here have been fighting off the flu, I think they have mostly finished with it now, luckily us dogs don't have to worry about picking up "human germs"!

The weather has been beautiful, sunny, warm, we are all having great fun outside chasing each other up and down the snow drifts, just enjoying the nice warm sun.

Thanks for checking in, stop by again soon to see Lucy's new babies and remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

February 20/08

Dianne posted new pictures of Cookie's puppies today; you'll have to go look at them, they are sooo cute! Considering they are my great grandpuppies (Max is Grandpa) I am very proud of them. I think they may even look a little like me. The little girl, Peanut, looks just like Max did when I had him. Such a beautiful colour. The little boy looks black but he has dark brown/red highlights to his coat so Dianne isn't quite sure yet what his colouring will be. We are just excited to have new babies here again. PLUS, my daughter, Somarra, is about to have her babies any day now, hopefully for Dianne's sake it won't be at 2 in the morning! That makes for a long night, well, for Dianne, not for me, I pretty much hang out on the couch until it's all over and then I get to come in and see the new little ones.

We are in the midst of a deep freeze AGAIN, really, next year I am heading to the DOGminican Republic! I've had enough of this, a dog can't even go outside to . . . well, you know.

Anyways, enjoy the new puppy pictures and check back for pictures of Somarra's as soon as hers are born. Take care, stay warm, and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

February 9/08

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hopefully it will warm up again this week. It was nice for a while, a dog could actually go outside and play, but then last night the big blizzard again and now the bitter cold - yuck. Dianne has been very sick all week so hasn't been able to type my blog for me and of course when I try to do it, well, my paws just hit lots of keys and it really doesn't make any sense at all.

We are really missing our puppies. When we checked with their families they all reported that the puppies are doing well and settling in nicely. My daughter, Somarra, is soon going to have her very first litter, I'm so excited to have little grandpuppies running around the house! I love playing and chasing the puppies - even when they aren't my own. I even remember when I was a puppy, learning all the rules (sooooo many rules!), I really liked to chase the cat, I still like to chase the cat, it's one of the few times I bark. I get so excited.

Some of our puppies/dogs are coming to see us this month for a "stay-cation" while their families are away. We always like that, it's fun to see them again and to watch them play with the other dogs. I know the other dogs are excited to see them when they get here. I get to play with them too, some of them are my puppies that are all grown up now.

Well I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day and remember chocolate can be very dangerous for a dog so hopefully someone will bring you a nice soup bone rather than chocolate! Have a "pawsitively" great day and thanks for checking in,

Molly

January 30/08

Are you tired of hearing the humans saying "Cold enough for you?" YES, IT IS COLD ENOUGH! Brrrrrr! I'm wondering if there is some sort of dog resort somewhere that has nice warm temperatures where a dog can have fun, running on the beaches, maybe putting a paw in the ocean, just hanging out outside without having to lift one paw after the other because it is so cold. I'm sure I've heard of places like "Pawaii, or Dogminican Republic", I'll have to get Dianne to check into it for me.

Puppy Update ~ Hanna's puppies have all gone to their new families and Keira's puppies will be leaving this weekend. All have wonderful homes with great families. So we will be pretty quiet around here for a couple of weeks and then we have Cookie's puppies coming. This will be Cookie's very first set of puppies so we are very excited to see what she will have, I just know she will be a great Mom. Not to mention these will be my grandpuppies! They are bound to be adorable!

We will keep Max and Rocky's pictures posted up top so people that are looking for an older dog can consider giving them a great home ~ they deserve it.

Supposed to warm up in the next couple of days, I sure hope so and what about you, IS IT COLD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!

Molly

January 24/08

Well, we knew this day would come, we've been dreading it and putting it off as long as we can but the time has come for us to retire our beloved Max and Rocky. These two beautiful boys were our very first Dads. Max and Rocky are both four years old and while they are young to retire we want to find them homes while they are still young and have a lot to offer just the right family. Both boys are wonderful loving dogs, both are very active so we would like to find homes for them where the family would like to have a dog to walk or jog with, play frisbee with, and would have lots of room in a yard or acreage for them to run, as they love to run!

Max is a beautiful red colour with a curly coat, he is very affectionate and would love to have a family of his very own. Max is a very athletic dog. Rocky is a blonde with silver markings and he has a gorgeous thick mostly straight, a bit of a wave, coat. He also is a very athletic, active dog. Both of these boys have given us beautiful puppies over the years and we are really going to miss them. Max has lived with us since he was born as he was from my second litter, and Rocky came to live with us at 8 weeks of age. Only the very best homes will do for our boys. If you are possibly interested or know someone who would like an older dog instead of a puppy please contact Dianne so she can talk to you about adding them to your family.

Boy, this was harder than I thought it was going to be!  :(

Molly

January 15/08

Are you thinking about getting a puppy, maybe one to be a companion to a dog you already have, or maybe to be a buddy for your children? Think about getting a puppy this time of year or early spring. Why? Because if you get your puppy now or in early spring then your puppy will be done all of his or her shots by summer and will be able to go out and about with you, camping, to the park, beaches, etc. Most people think they will wait until school is over and then get their puppy not realizing that they can't take the puppy out in public places as until they are finished their shots they are not protected from all the diseases that are out there and live on the ground. So dangerous for a new puppy! Also, when the weather is a little chillier the house training goes a little easier (for the puppy!) as they do not want to be outside for long, they want to do their business and get back into the nice warm house as soon as possible. Helpful information for you if you are considering adding a puppy to your home!

Have you seen the updated Happy Tails page? The pictures are sooo cute! We have birthday photos, puppies enjoying the good life in their new homes, all sorts of fun pictures our MollyDog Family members have sent us. Check them out! I know they will bring a smile to your face, they did ours.

Thanks for stopping by, stay warm, and have a "pawsitively" great day!

This weekend the dogs had lots of fun in the front yard. They really loved playing in the snow and chasing each other around. Hanna, especially, will roll over and over in the snow and then run with her face right in the snow like a little snow plough! We made a couple of videos of the dogs outside playing and posted them on youtube if you want to go and see them. They are titled Fun In The Snow, you can just enter mollydogs in their searchbox to see all of our videos posted there. Have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

December 30/07

Happy New Year to all! We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable New Year's Eve! What an exciting time ~ the beginning of 2008 and the anticipation of what the New Year will bring. It also gives us a chance to look back at 2007 and appreciate all the blessings that year brought us. Hopefully the New Year will bring peace and joy and happiness to all of our wonderful MollyDog Families and to everyone.

Hanna's and Keira's puppies have grown so much all of a sudden. It just seems like the other day they were tiny little newborns and now they are up and moving around. Hanna's are playing and wrestling, Keira's are starting to explore outside of their crate and listening to the world around them.

We have new puppies coming beginning mid February and are very excited about that. Cookie and Somarra will be first time Moms and we are anxious to see their babies!

Thanks to everyone for their support in the past and previous years. Thanks also for providing such wonderful homes for our little MollyDogs! Have a "pawsitively" wonderful NEW YEAR!

Molly

December 20/07

Boy, I can't believe we're only a few days away from Christmas! Our weather here is beautiful, sun shining, snow on the ground, blue skies, a very pretty prairie winter day.

Here are some of those holiday tips that I promised you, I had wanted to get them on here sooner, but of course, I need help from Dianne, and I kept hearing something about wrapping, shopping, baking, cooking . . . I don't know.  Anyways, I hope this will help you keep your pet safe over the holidays:

1. Try to keep your pets regular feeding and exercise routine and make sure they have a quiet place to go during holiday parties or when there is lots of company, a sort of "getaway" if they need it. Too much excitement can cause stomach upset or trigger something else.

2. Place mystery packages out of reach. Dogs often chew apart packages containing food that may make them sick. Food can be the number one holiday hazard for dogs.

3. Ask guests to avoid giving treats from the table. Poultry skin, fat rich gravies and buttery sauces can cause severe vomiting, bloody diarrhea and even life threatening inflammation of the pancreas. An ounce of alcohol can put some small dogs in a coma.

4. Anticipate guests arrival and keep your dog from running out an open door to greet them, they may run right into traffic.

5. Secure garbage bins with lids that are secure. You don't want your dog getting into throwaways like left over turkey carcas, bones, foil wrap, ribbon, etc.

6. Read labels on products such as tree water preservatives and artificial snow, buy only those labeled nontoxic.

7. Leave the bottom of your tree undecorated to protect your decorations and to decrease the dogs interest and make sure electrical cords are out of reach or hidden to block access from the dog.

8. And finally, keep candy and chocolate out of the dog's reach. Baker's chocolate is the worst for dogs. For some dogs eating even a small amount can cause serious abnormal heart rhythms and nervous system malfunctions.

December 10/07

Keira's puppies have arrived. Check out her puppy page, the puppies are so pretty! But aren't they all? Pebbles puppies will be leaving us this week so we will be busy getting everyone ready. Dianne makes sure the puppies all get a bath and a "peticure" before they leave. They also go home with a really stinky blanket and toy that has been in with Mom and the other puppies in the litter. We hope it helps them during the night but it really is smelly!

The weather is supposed to warm up this week - we sure hope so! We are busy decorating for Christmas and I have been a particularly good dog this year so I know there will be something really special under the tree for me! What about you?

Thanks for stopping by and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

December 4/07

Brrrrrr! It's been so cold outside, what happened to global warming? Dianne says it's still good for me to go outside when its cold but I strongly disagree. I'd much rather stay on my own little couch and see what the weather is doing from inside the house. Of course for certain purposes I do have to go out now and then, but I can tell you I am back inside as quick as I can get there. Sometimes I have to bark to get the door opened, I wish I had my own little door like the other dogs do. They can go in and out whenever they want, but me (and I'm supposed to be the spoiled one!) I have to wait for one of the people to come and let me in. I'd much rather be independent.

Anyways we had some more puppies leave us this week. Sophie's , except for little Riley, and Annabelle's have all gone to their new homes. We miss them but we know they are having lots of fun with their new families. And we do have Hanna's new babies to play with soon.

Soon we are putting some holiday tips on here so that everyone's home will be safe for their puppy/dog over the holidays. We are getting excited about Christmas though, we LOVE Christmas around here. So come back soon and check out the holiday tips. Stay warm and have a "pawsitively" great day!

November 27/07

Wow, it has been crazy around here. On top of THE RIDERS WINNING THE GREY CUP!!!!! Hanna had her puppies yesterday, so MollyDogs is proud to welcome our four newest little MollyDogs. Dianne has been kept hopping lately that's for sure. With all the nail trimming, brushing, deworming, bathing and giving the "spa" treatment to the puppies that have left in the last week, as well as doing the nail trimming, brushing, deworming, etc with Sophie's, Gabby's, Annabelle's and Pebbles' puppies! Ah well, I think she likes it though.

This weekend Sophie's puppies (except our little Riley as he needs some more time with us) and Annabelle's puppies are going home, as sad as we are to have the puppies leave us we are excited for them to start their new lives with their new families. We know how happy the families are to get their puppies and that makes it all worthwhile! After all, who wouldn't be happy to get a cute little MollyDog puppy? I mean, really. Oh, and did I mention that THE RIDERS WON THE GREY CUP!!!!

Thanks for checking in and remember, have a "pawsitively" great day!

GREEN IS THE COLOUR, FOOTBALL IS THE GAME. . .

November 20th/07

Well, you knew it had to be a football theme, right?! And to all of our Manitoba MollyDog customers what can we say except, well, GO RIDERS GO!!!

Okay, now that that is out of the way, (GO RIDERS GO!), you will see that some of our puppies have left us :( to go to their new homes, Faith's puppies are 8 weeks old now and have all turned into beautiful little dogs- to- be! They had lots of fun playing outside and managed the dog door with no problems, they even liked the snow we got last weekend.

Please check out our puppy pages to see how all the other little ones here at MollyDogs are doing, it's amazing how quickly they all grow and change. GO RIDERS GO! What? Did I say that again? :)

Hope everyone enjoys the game! Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly  (GO RIDERS GO!) sorry I couldn't resist!

November 3rd/07

As we head into November I can't help but think of all our men and women in uniform that are far more courageous and brave then I could ever be. I am so humbled by their service to our country and for the sacrifice they and their families make daily on our behalf. Can you imagine being "over there"? Can you imagine missing family birthdays, babies being born, loved ones sick and/or passing away and not being able to be with your family at a time like that. I cannot even begin to comprehend what that must be like for them and for their families. How can we ever thank them enough? I know this may not be what you are expecting to read here but it is what came into my mind and heart today as I sat down. Maybe because one of our neighbours has left to go there for the third time, maybe because of the upcoming Remembrance Day I am reminded of my grandfather and others who have fought in past wars.  .  . I'm not sure. I just felt like sharing my thoughts on this and I hope you don't mind. I hope if you see any member of the armed forces you will stop and thank them for their service.

Now at MollyDogs there are so many puppies keeping us on our toes. It is so much fun having the different litters at different ages. We really enjoy watching them grow and change from little newborns to puppies that are up playing and chasing each other. Check out our puppy pages and look at these adorable little furbabies!

Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

October 12th/07

Do you have any Halloween pictures of your MollyDog? If so send them in! We need some more for our Happy Tails page. Check out Rolo and Lola. Here's a shot of the cutest, furriest little witch ever (I'm sure she's a "good" witch) Maggie!  LOVE the hat!

All our new little puppies are doing wonderful, they are all nursing and turning into chubby little things. The Moms are doing an excellent job of looking after them. The BioSensor work has begun on the latest litters and is always very interesting to see how the puppies react and how it shows their little temperaments already at such a young age.

Keep watching the website to see them grow. Thanks for checking in, take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

October 6th/07

Finally the wait is over! Sophie had her puppies today! Annabelle had her puppies today! Wow, what a day! Pictures will be posted in a day or so. Moms and babies are doing well. Now for some sleep! z. . z. . z . .z

October 3/07

Everything is at a standstill at MollyDogs right now. Dianne is waiting, and waiting, and waiting for Sophie to begin having her puppies and we found out this week that our Gabby will have a C Section to have her two babies! We're pretty sure both events will probably happen when everyone is about to sit down and enjoy some turkey! We are excited to have the puppies born and to be able to see the Moms settle in and relax with their newborns.

Faith's puppies are doing well and their eyes are starting to show signs of opening. They are gaining weight and growing like crazy.

Well, we want to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving, don't eat too much turkey and mostly enjoy the time with family and friends, as this is what we are truly thankful for.

Back out to check Sophie and Gabby! Have a "pawsitively" wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Molly

September 21/07

Big News!! Faith's puppies are here! Five beautiful boys and one gorgeous girl were born this morning. Of course we went through the motions beginning at around 1 a.m. and the first little guy presented himself at 6:00 this morning. Mom and babies are doing great . . . Dianne's the one that's all worn out! :)

The sensational six are posted on Faith's Puppy page. We are excited to have our new babies here and feel so blessed that they are healthy and that we will get to be a small part of their early life before they leave us. Watch Faith's page and you will be able to see the puppies grow.

Now for some sleep! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

September 17/07

Do you love fall? We love fall here, the beautiful colours, the cooler temperatures. The only thing we don't like are the shorter days :(

Lucy's puppies have all gone to their new homes and from all reports everyone is doing great! So we are sort of in puppy "withdrawal" here but luckily we have Riley and Lily to spoil and get puppy kisses from. Faith's puppies will also be joining us soon. Dianne has started taking Faith's temperature so we are definitely on "puppy watch".

When the new little furbabies show up we will post it here so keep watching! Gotta go, there's a gopher calling me!Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

September 13/07

We have sad :( and happy :) MollyDog news to report today. One of our dogs, Oreo, that had a wonderful home and family with four beautiful young girls was hit by a car last night and died. As you can imagine, they are devastated. So please think about Oreo and her family today. They are very upset and grieving the loss of their beautiful friend. We share their grief and were so sad to learn about this.

Our happy :) news is that Faith had her checkup at the Vet yesterday and is doing great. We are not expecting any problems with her puppies. Keep checking back for "puppy watch" updates!

Lucy's puppies will be going home with their families this week. They had their checkup and shots yesterday as well. We will really miss them as they have been so much fun the last couple of weeks, chasing each other around in the kitchen, trying to chew toes, wrestling and playing with each other. This week they discovered the inside cat "Mew" and have had great fun tormenting her. She is not as impressed with them!

Take care, hug your dogs, be careful with them at doorways :) and please, have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

September 3/07

MollyDogs is thrilled to introduce you to our newest addition - "Riley". Riley is a beautiful brindle purebred ShihTzu. We have been considering starting a purebred ShihTzu line for quite a while and have been keeping our eyes open for exactly the right colours, personality, size and body style that we wanted. We are so excited to have found our little Riley, she is absolutely adorable! As you can see she has a beautiful coat with white paws and just enough white on her face to show off her gorgeous red/brown/black brindle body colour. She is a real cuddle bug yet at the same time loves to run and play, so far her favourite thing is to chase small balls, she LOVES to run! We will be assessing her closely over the next two years to make sure she will "fit in" with the rest of the gang, we also want to make sure that our purebred MollyDog ShihTzu's will make as great a family pet and have a loving temperament as much as our lovable little ShihChons do.

So that's our big announcement. We hope you think Riley is as beautiful as we do and we look forward to your feedback. As always thanks for your support! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

August 30/07

Boy, what a difference a few days makes! Now it's hot again. Strange summer. We put new pictures on the Happy Tails page if you'd like to go see them. Looks like MollyDogs have had very busy summers! I really like the one of Kobe sleeping in the bed . . . I wish I got to sleep in a bed, but no, I  have to sleep in my crate. Some dogs really have it made!

Dianne and her awesome web guy Curtis are working on a new way to do our Puppy Pages so bear with us while we are making changes and deciding how best to show off our beautiful puppies. Soon we will have lots of new puppies to star on the new pages.

So much going on here at MollyDogs, building, puppies, grooming, and more grooming . . . I hope you have a "pawsitively" great day! Have you hugged your dog today?

Molly

August 22/07

Brrrrrr! It's so cold outside!  Isn't is supposed to still be summer! Hopefully it will warm up and we will have a nice fall. I know Dianne still has lots of work to do in the garden. Maybe you do too!

Our friend Kayda was here for a visit while his family took a wonderful trip to the Big Apple. Bella was also here when her family went to the States as well. Everyone is busy trying to get their last trips in before school starts and summer ends. We were happy to have the visitors. They had lots of fun with the other dogs running around in the yard.

We are working hard on our new nursery expansion. We are going to need it for all the new puppies coming in October. Hard to believe Lucy's puppies are already 5 weeks old and will be leaving soon. We will have their new pictures up later this week.

Check back on the blog around the 3rd of September for a BIG MollyDogs announcement! We are very excited about it ~ that's all we'll say for now . . . have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

August 13/07

New puppy videos posted on YouTube. I will try to link this, if it doesn't work just go to Google and type in "youtube mollydogs" and the videos will come up. But try this first, hopefully it will work :) Lucy's puppies eating their first solid food.

Lucy's Puppies , I think it works! Yeah!

August 3/07

Have you seen the pictures of Lucy's puppies? They are absolutely gorgeous, although I have to admit, as they are my GrandPuppies I am a little biased. You can see them on Lucy's Page under MollyDogs Puppies. I know you will agree they are the cutest.

Dianne is keeping the little one named Lily as we will be retiring her Mom, Lucy soon and Dianne wanted to keep one of Lucy's little girls once Lucy finds a new home to go to. Also in September Faith will be having puppies, around the 19th or so.

We've been busy here this summer at MollyDogs, we've expanded our Nursery and added some more pens so we have lots of puppy room now and more room for Dianne when she spends those long nights out there when new puppies arrive!

We hope you've had a great summer and have enjoyed all the hot, hot weather! Stay cool and remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

July 19th/07

LUCY'S PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED! Starting early this morning around 1:00 a.m. Lucy had her babies, she had two boys and three girls. They are all beautiful, of course, and are doing great, as is Mom. Lucy is such a good mom with her puppies. Pictures of Mom and babies will be posted soon, we will let everyone settle in first.

Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

July 11/07

We are so excited to add a new page to our website. Dianne is calling  it Happy Tails and it will have only photos on it that our MollyDog Families send us of their puppies enjoying the good life in their new homes so make sure you check it out. It's great to see how quickly the puppies become part of the family. I sure hope some of my puppies make it on the page!

The other big news here at MollyDogs is that Lucy will be having her puppies in the next couple of weeks! And we will have lots of fall puppies this year as Faith, Hanna, Sophie will all be having puppies later in August or September. So keep checking back for updates on all the latest news here at MollyDogs! And remember ~

have a "pawsitively" great day!

June 21/07

Don't you just love this beautiful weather. We seem to be done with the rain, for now anyways. Lots going on here at MollyDogs. We have some of our puppies/dogs coming back for summer vacations. Right now we have Max here, a Faith/Bosco puppy. We also have Kayda coming and Ryder. We love seeing the dogs again and getting a chance to catch up with our MollyDog Families.

All of our puppies have left now for their new homes and are doing well. They are having a great time with their new families.  Our next litter is due around the middle of July but is all spoken for.  We will have other puppies coming later this summer.

All the other dogs and me (Molly) have been having a great time in the yard, chasing the cat up the tree, digging in the flower bed (of course, it wasn't me that dug up the flowers!), chasing the odd gopher that happens to come into the yard. That's the most fun, I love chasing the gophers! Well, gotta go ~ there's one calling me now.

Thanks for dropping by ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

June 14/07

We want to thank everyone for the thoughtful emails and prayers sent our way as our son Patrick deals with the sudden loss of his friend. If you haven't received an answer you will soon as things slowly return to "normal". Thanks again and remember ~ life is short ~ so have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

May 29/07

This week its Pebbles' puppies turn to go home. Tomorrow Buddy and Lacey will go home with their new families. I just watched Dianne bath them and get them all ready. They were very good while they had their nails trimmed but sure didn't think much of the blow dryer! But then, who does? I hate the feel of it on my fur.

Mshkode will go home on Thursday and then Hoshi on Monday, the other puppies will stay a little longer, which we always enjoy, especially as we won't have any more new puppies until about the middle of July.

We posted new videos on YouTube if you want to go see the puppies playing outside in their pen. When you get to YouTube just type in the search box "mollydogs puppies outside" and one of the videos will come up, after that just click on the underlined "mollydogs" and the rest of our videos will come up. You can even rate them and comment on them if you want.

Well, it's certainly been a busy time here at MollyDogs this spring. We've enjoyed all the puppies and all the new families that we met. We thank each of you for providing such good homes for our puppies! :)

Thanks for stopping by and remember, have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

May 16/07

This week is one of those weeks where we are happy and sad. We are happy to see Hanna and Annabelle's puppies go to wonderful new homes and families but at the same time sad as we will miss them. They have been so much fun to play with and to watch them grow and learn new things.  Both Hanna and Annabelle were first time Moms and really did excellent jobs with their puppies.

But we still have Pebbles puppies here and Molly and Maggey are staying a little bit longer with us so it won't be too bad. Also two of our previous puppies are coming back to stay for a while when their families are on vacation. We are looking forward to seeing Oakley and Kayda soon!  MollyDogs will have new puppies coming in July as well so lots going on here at MollyDogs.

Thanks for stopping by ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

May 11/07

My mother's name is Cookie and she lives with our friend Yvette. I only see her once in a while but I sure learned a lot from her. She was such a good mother to me and all my brothers and sisters. I think I was such a good Mom to my puppies because of her. I heard my human, Dianne, say that about her Mother. How she got her love of music from her Mother and her love of children, those types of things. Her Mother lives far away too and she doesn't get to see her very often either. So we both hope that you appreciate your Mother and all that she taught you and gave you in life and if she is still with you really be thankful for that and this Mother's Day maybe go and have a cup of tea with her. Most Mothers really don't require a lot of "extra" stuff, we just love spending some time with our children. So give her a big hug and let her know how much you care about her!

Have a "pawsitively" wonderful Mother's Day!

Molly

May 7/07

The picture is almost all of the puppies eating together! Too cute! They actually all eat separately now but we put the first dish down and they all came running, it was too cute not to get a picture of. The only puppies left in the nursery are Pebbles puppies. Hanna's, Sophie's and Annabelle's are all in the other part now that has a little puppy door that they can go in and outside whenever they want. They have all grown so much.

So much going on here at MollyDogs! All the puppies are certainly keeping us busy, as does the grooming this time of year. We will be breeding some of our Moms as they come into heat and we also make sure all the dogs get time in the yard for playing and just hanging out with us. And we have some of our puppies that have homes already coming back for visits as their families are traveling. Zaugi and Oakley will be spending some time with us soon ~ we are always happy to have our puppies come back for a visit!

Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

April 28/07

Is it nice outside or what? We are loving the gorgeous weather, although today it is very windy here. We, me and the other dogs that is, have been having a great time today running around in the yard. I put a picture here so you an see the fun we had chasing the cat up the tree. It was so much fun! Since then we all have just been running around chasing each other, jumping up on the big rocks, climbing ~ so much to do.

Fun In The Yard

Dianne is trying to get the puppy pictures updated but is having trouble with the camera :(  so as soon as she gets it figured out the new pictures will be up. Sorry for the delay! Good thing Patrick (16 year old) is around to figure out the technology!

Bye for now, have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

April 12/07

All our puppies pictures have been updated. Check them out and see how cute they are! We have such variety. Annabelle's puppies will get lighter while Pebble's puppies, in some cases, will get deeper colouring. It should be interesting to see how they all look by about 8 weeks. We will have to show the newborn pictures and their eight week old pictures to compare.

I've been having lots (Dianne says too much!) fun outside in the yard chasing gophers! I am just waiting by that hole, as soon as he sticks his head up . . . I know I'll get him! Hopefully now we will be done with the snow and can get on with the nice weather.

Thanks for stopping by, have a "pawsitively" great day!

We hope everyone enjoys this great Easter weekend and appreciates all that was sacrificed and reborn for us!

Have a wonderful Easter holiday and we hope you are able to spend time with family and friends.

April 2/07

Pebbles' puppies have arrived! Yesterday Pebbles had one boy and six girls! Wow! They are all doing really well and are great additions to the MollyDog Family.

Dog Food Recall Update ~ please note that Menu Foods does NOT make any of the dry food products from Nutro. So you don't have to worry about that. Please keep watching the news for updates as this seems to be a developing situation with frequent changes. Now some company's treats have even been added to the list. I would suspend all commercial treats right now and give your puppy/dog homemade treats or bits of cooked chicken, liver, beef, etc.

If you would like some recipes for some homemade dog treats just let me know and I will send some out to you. Continue to check the Nutro website, link to it is on our website Links page.

Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day!

Ahhhh, SPRING!! Don't you just LOVE spring? All the smells, the sounds, the squishy mud on your paws? I just love it.The days are so much longer and the sun is so much warmer. I've been chasing birds around the yard and playing with some of our visiting friends like Jessie, Zoey and now Myles is here too!

BIG News here today. Hanna and Sophie had their puppies yesterday, well Sophie had her little guy at 4:45 this morning. Hanna had her two last night, they really kept Dianne busy. DOG FOOD ALERT!! ~ Everyone has probably heard on the news about the recall of the dog food that has been leading to the death of some cats and dogs. Please go to this link and check out any dog/cat food that you may have in your homes. So far this recall has not involved the "dry" type dog foods, only the canned or the pouched foods that have gravy, vegetables, etc in them.  Click on recall and check the Best Before dates on your food. This will take you right to Nutro's website, in the top left hand corner they have a "Menu Foods Recall" button that you can click on that will list the products concerned. No Nutro products at all have been linked to any of the pet health issues but as a precaution they are recalling the products indicated on their website. NO DRY FOOD, BISCUITS OR TREATS are affected, only the canned or pouch products. Also on their site is a link to the total list of pet food products (other companies, ie Iams) that have been affected. Thanks for your attention to this and to the many customers that have called or emailed us to make us aware of this recall. Molly

PUPPY WATCH UPDATE!

Also for the many that are anxiously awaiting puppy news ~ all Moms are doing great and just progressing towards the big day! This is the hard part, watching and waiting, waiting and watching. For us too! We will let you all know as soon as anything starts to happen. Take care and have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

 March 16/07

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE! What a great day to celebrate all things Irish. We hope you enjoy the day with friends and family, maybe have some Irish Stew, maybe even a little bit of Guiness!

Around here we are on "puppy watch", with Annabelle, Hanna, and Sophie all ready to have their puppies. Dianne is thinking within the next week she will be very busy. We don't see much of her here in the house once all the puppies start arriving. She is gone for days, I really miss her, but I like to go out and see the new puppies if their Moms let me. So far all the Moms are doing well, getting bigger, resting and getting ready for their big day. We will keep you posted as things progress.

Have a "pawsitively" GREEN day!

Molly

March 7/07

It's one of those weeks here for us. A sad/happy time. Faith's puppies will be going to their new homes this weekend, we are always sad to see them go. Its so much fun playing with them and watching them grow and learn new things. But at the same time they are going to have such nice new packs that we are happy for them and we know they will bring lots of joy to their new families.

Our friend Zaugi was here for a visit while his family was away, also Bailey has stopped in for a couple of days while her pack leaders have meetings in Regina. And soon Lucy's little puppy, Myles, will be coming to stay for a visit. We love seeing our puppies again and getting caught up to date on all their shenanagans. And speaking of shenanagans ~ its almost St. Patrick's Day. As some in my pack are Irish we love St. Patrick's Day. But you know, they never wear green on that day. You know why? Dianne says that all the people that wear green on St. Patrick's Day are all the people that WISH they were Irish! Ha Ha.

Have a "pawsitively" great day!

Molly

February 24/07

Wow, what a week its been! Dianne's computer crashed, then the digital camera was giving us grief. Boy, I'm glad I don't have to worry about that sort of stuff. For me its all about chasing the cat, chowing down, and catching some sleep. But Dianne said we have the BEST customers ever! Everyone has been great about sending their copies of pictures we lost and getting us their email addresses. Thanks to everyone, a BIG thanks to our "web guy" Curtis ~ he was a huge help to Dianne.

Now for the updates ~ Lucy's puppies are all at their new homes and are loving it. We know they are being spoiled rotten by their new packs and we think its great. Faith's puppies have grown so much and are running and playing, they are coming in the house now ~ which I love, because I get to play with them! Hard to believe they will be going to their new homes in a couple of weeks. But that's okay because we have NEW PUPPIES on the way!

So there's been lots going on here at MollyDogs so keep checking back and remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

February 16/07

So in the meantime all of the email addresses that she had been collecting until now have been LOST!!! If you can be so kind as to email her back at her new email address so we can be sure to keep everyone in the Molly Dog's loop.

Her new email address is dianne@mollydogs.ca

Molly

February 7/07

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Want to see a real little sweetheart? Go to our "Who We Are" page, two real cuties there! If you would like to see videos of Faith's puppies playing they are on YouTube now. They were 3 and half weeks old when the videos were taken. Just go to YouTube and type in "mollydogs" in their search box and that will get you to our videos. Lucy's puppies will be going to their new homes this weekend. We always have such mixed emotions when its time for the puppies to leave ~ we will miss them so much but at the same time we are happy to see them go to their new homes and their new "packs". We know they will be well looked after and loved. Also we will soon be busy with our new litters that are coming in March!

Thanks for stopping by, have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

January 31st/07

Can you believe its the end of January? It's been very busy here. One of my sons "Oakley" came for a visit while his humans went away for a vacation. He had so much fun playing with all of us. And Keira's puppy "Kayda" will also be coming soon for his own vacation while his humans are away. What fun! We love seeing the kids come back for a visit!

We put new pictures on Faith's Puppy Page today, her little puppies are three weeks old now and are doing great. We have new puppies coming at the end of March and beginning of April. How exciting!

Lucy's puppies are seven weeks old and are "in the house"! I have so much fun chasing them and playing with them. The only thing is they keep trying to nurse from me and well, that just doesn't work for me anymore! But I still love to play with them. We hope it warms up so we can get them outside a little bit, they love to play in the snow. I help Dianne a lot right now as those puppies are everywhere, getting into everything if you don't keep a close eye on them.

Well, talk to you again soon, thanks for checking in. And remember ~

Have a "pawsitively" great day! Molly

January 19th/07

Well, Mason is the name we've decided to go with for our new little male. He is such a sweetie and we know he will give us beautiful puppies, just like his Dad. Lucy's puppies have been posted on youtube.com if you would like to go see them. Just type in mollydogs + lucy + puppies and you will be able to see them. They are so adorable.

We will be having new puppies around the middle to the end of March. Hanna will be having her first litter, as well as Annabelle, her first as well. So we are excited to see what great Moms these two will be and to see their puppies.

Thanks for stopping by, have a "pawsitively" great day!

Wow! What a great response Dianne got to asking for names for our little male puppy. Thanks everyone!

Faith had her puppies on the 9th of January. Mom and babies are all doing great. You can watch one of Faith's little girls grow on the Watching Puppy Grow page of the website. We will be posting her picture there as she grows and changes. Faith is a first time Mom and is doing excellent with her puppies, she will barely leave them to go to the bathroom. I was the same way with my babies. Those first few days are so important to get them off to a good start. Stay tuned, lots going on at MollyDogs these days! Have a "pawsitively" great day!

NAME THE PUPPY! Help us name our new puppy. Look on Lucy's Puppy Page and the last little male on that page we are keeping. He is my grandson, from my son Max. He will look just like his Dad once his colour comes in. He will be solid gold with white markings, although his Dad as he got older turned almost a deep red. So we need an "M" name, when we keep one of the puppies we give them a name that has either the first letter of the Mom's name if its a female or the first letter of the Dad's name if its a male. So if you have a good puppy name that starts with "M" please let us know.

Faith will be having her puppies in the next week, she is doing very well. Now we can feel the puppies move and see them move too! It's very exciting. Be sure to check back here for the big announcement. And remember ~ have a pawsitively" great day!

January 1st 2007!

Wow, it's a new year! I hope its a great one for you and your family. I'm so excited because my humans, Dianne and Kevin, are home from their Christmas holidays and I had to stay with the dogs in the kennel building ~ really! But it wasn't too bad, I did have fun playing with the other dogs but don't tell anyone. Lucy's puppies sure grew while Dianne was away, their eyes are open, they are starting to stand, what a big change. And Faith is due to have her puppies in a couple of weeks! She is getting quite the little tummy on her. Well, now that the holidays are overeverything should get back to normal around here. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to hearing from everyone. Remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!! Hi Everyone, with Christams fast approaching its so easy to get caught up in all the excitement of shopping and visiting so we just wanted to say slow down, take a deep breath, pause for a moment and reflect on the real reason for the season and remember to count our blessings. We are so fortunate to be living where we live and have all that we have.

We hope you and your "pack" have a blessed Christmas, and a wonderful holiday season. My pack is taking a much needed break and going to Dianne's parents for Christmas in Ontario. I will be heading out to the kennel building to spend some time with the other dogs. Our friends Wendy and Wayne will be coming over to take good care of us so that will be fun! Take care and have a "pawsitively" great holiday!

Yeh! The new little MollyDogs are here. Lucy had her babies on the 13th and they are all doing great. We have twolittle girls and three little boys. Lucy did such a great job and is being a really good Mom. She didn't like it when Dianne took the puppies out to get weighed or to take their picture but she rounded them all up and counted them to make sure they were all there when Dianne put them back. The pictures of the new puppies are on Lucy's Page on the MollyDogs Puppies section if you want to see them They are so pretty. Hope you have a "pawsitively" great day!

December 2/06

I have a very sore nose. For those of you that didn't know I got this bump on my nose and Dianne took me to see Dr. Crooks and he made me fall asleep and when I woke up, boy it was very sore. I know Dianne was very worried but I guess the Dr. called and said it was nothing. So she's pretty happy. I know she sure has been spoiling me, so who's going to complain about that!

Keira's puppies are at their new homes now and all is going well. Pebbles puppies leave next weekend. Its going to be pretty quiet around here for a while.

This is Faith, she is having her puppies in January.

Please keep checking back for all the latest happenings at MollyDogs! And remember; have a "pawsitively" great day!

November 27/06

Well this is a sad week for me, Keira's puppies are going to their new homes and won't be here for me to play with anymore. But I heard Dianne saying that they all had such nice homes to go to. I sure had fun with them here in the house, except for when they tried to take my bone and then they had the nerve to go in my kennel.  Hey, on the bright side, Pebbles puppies are now coming in and playing, yippee! And there's 6 of them! Boy, that will keep us hopping. Its fun to watch the puppies explore when they come in the house, everything is new to them. Sometimes they even howl when Patrick plays the piano, and he's not that bad at it.  Plus Lucy's puppies coming soon . . . Don't forget to check back for that! And remember have a"pawsitively" great day!

November 16/06

Hello again, things have been very busy here at MollyDogs. We now know for sure that Lucy is going to have puppies. They will be born around Dec 15th and now Dianne told me that Faith is going to have her very first litter in January. Wow ~ we can hardly wait to see what her little puppies will look like.

I'm looking forward to playing with Keira's puppies this week, they come in the house now for a couple of hours and Dianne puts out all the toys that are kept just for when puppies are in the house. So we have lots of fun, if Keira comes in she won't let me get too close to her puppies ~ but if she isn't here then I play with them like they are my own.  I won't have any more puppies so I still like to play with my friends puppies. Dianne hasn't been feeling very good so when she brings them in the house I help her out looking after them. Actually, I do most of the work! But that's ok, she says I do a great job.

Everyone really seems to like the new website. I think its great. I really like that I star in my own movie on the Videos page. Yup, I'm gettin' to be pretty famous.

Well, that's about all for now. Check back soon and remember ~ have a "pawsitively" great day!

In The Beginning . . .

Hi everyone, this is Molly, welcome to our new site! We are so excited to have it up and running. A huge THANK YOU to Curtis at Trafick IMS for all his work and help with our new site. Dianne says she couldn't have done it without him! She also says if you or anyone you know needs a website you should contact Curtis. I agree, after all he put this really cute picture of me as a puppy here on my very own blog!

You can read my blog to stay up to date on when new puppies are expected, we get so excited when there are new babies around! Some of my friends, Faith, Annabelle, Hanna are all going to become new Moms for the first time after Christmas and we are looking forward to that. I will keep you posted right here on when those new little babies will be showing up.

I hope you enjoy the new website; let us know what you think. Thanks for checking us out and have a "pawsitively" great day!
